How far are you willing to go to make amends for your past sins?
Years ago Erin committed a horrible betrayal against people that she once called her friends that destroyed their lives. Ever since then, she has been living in regret over her actions, wishing that she could do something to ease her pain.
One night, she decides to play a game that she used to play with her old friends, only to be sucked into her computer by a strange being. When she wakes up, she finds herself inside the game's world, where her old friends are living in now.
However, Erin soon finds out that her friends are no longer the people she used to know, but brutal dictators that have taken over the world. Now she must find a way to fix the mess her crime caused and hopefully save the people that were her victims.
But will she be able to convince them or is she forced to walk a painful path covered in blood?

- StarCrossedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an action packed, neo-noir story, that takes off after about 5 chapters and doesn't stop. Few stories on Royal Road have illustrated chapters like this one, but it really shines with its grimdark tale that's not too dark or graphic. Definitely read if you like stories about the day-in-the-life of an assassin.
- GuthanRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'll be honest. I have no idea why this story doesn't have at least a couple followers or ratings. It's not too bad and was fairly okayish, certainly better than a lot of worse stories that find their way on RS. The main plot is a tad boring at times, but the characters more than make up for it.
4.5/5 for effort.
