Author’s note
Reckless Talents is a dark progression fantasy series and will be a very long one. It is set in a medieval world and draws very loose inspiration from Norse mythology. The story is told from a third-person perspective, primarily following the main character, Erik. However, there will be occasional chapters, which will have perspectives of other characters.
I hope you enjoy the journey, and I would love to see what you think about it.
Please keep in mind that there are violent and graphic scenes, so this is a fiction for adults.

- OverlyBound82Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story has a strong start and pulls you into its world quickly. The setting feels deep and well thoght out with many smal details that make it feel alive. The pacing slightly slow in some places but the author did mention that it would be long so I guess its to be expected. It takes a bit of time for the action to start but once it does it becomes difficult to stop reading!!!
Writing Style:
The writing is immersive and does a great job at making scenes feel alive. The descriptions of places, actions and emotions are vivid without being too much. The action scenes have weight behind them and feel dangerous.
Story:
The worldbuilding so far is done really well. It doest't trow too much at you while also introducin interesting elements. The world feels much larger than what has been shown so far and I can't wait to see what else comes up.
Grammar:
The grammar and spelling are solid. A few mistakes here and there but nothing that breaks the immersion.
Characters:
Erik feels like a real person. He is not overpowered and he makes decisions that make sense for his situaton. He is not fearless but he is determined. The side characters also have their own personalities and motivations and they do not just exist to help or slow down Erik. Some feel like they will have a big impact later but since it is still early in the story it is hard to tell how much they will grow.
Overall very solid start. If the quality continues at this level I'll definitly keep reading. My opinion might change later but so far its great! - sikijaxsonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0In my opinion, the work of the author N.G. Blackwood is very well done. So far I am very captivated by the events and all the trimmings and find it very interesting. I hope the author keeps up the wonderful work. One criticism would be that in my opinion it is too exciting and the individual chapters are published too slowly but I think I have to live with that
