Going into this story based on the title and description I thought that there was going to be more cooking than what has been in the story so far. It isn't bad per se but should be known as a warning. The idea of a goddess bringing someone with the skills needed to save the world isn't new but the author makes it their own.
Throughout the story so far and from what I can tell moving forward Alistair the MC is focused on three things that if you enjoy you will enjoy the story. First is the cooking of course. To make peace and teach the fighting populace about food he needs to make them some good food which the story delivers in small chunks for you.
Second is the cultivation. After making peace using food he needs to take full advantage as a god's chosen and become much stronger.
Finally, there are the women. Like many other wuxia stories, Alistair begins building a harem. If this turns you off then the story isn't for you. The one thing I didn't like about this part was how quickly he decided to build a harem. Other than that it has been handled well.
The grammar and editing for the story have a few issues at times and could use some better revising before posting. It usually isn't a big issue when reading but it can be distracting at times.
