Reborn into the Magus World

Description

Ron never expected to one day wake up in another world, one where crazy scientists run amok and cause all sorts of problems, much less in the body of a frosty princess.

Well, not that he has much to complain about. Being a wizard sounds like fun, doesn't it?

(The world for this novel is shamelessly taken from the glorious book 'Warlock of the Magus World'. Check it out if you have the time)

I like this one, sadly i think it's dropped because of the time it's been on hiatus but it was a good one, she stoped at rank 1 half converted with a good premise.
Hopefully you will pick it up so we can keep enjoying your story!!

This novel is definitely weird but well written. The story is engaging. It has what i personally believe to have unnecessay gender bending plot. I suppose what what gives it bit flavour?

I just finished reading this novel. This is a fanfic playing in the world of "Warlock of the Magus World". I don't think the spoilers in my review are too drastic, but I will mark them as spoilers anyways.
Style: I think the style of WMW got copied decently well.
Story: The plot development is considerably faster than in the original novel. But the original novel is very lengthy, so that is probably inevitable.
Another reason why the plot development is fast is because the MC is a shut in with enormous talent. So there are no side stories or meaningful interactions with friends or randos which are normally used to slow down the story.
Grammar: I usually don't pay attention to the grammar, unless it is pretty bad. There are some minor mistakes, but I didn't care about them.
    Character:
In my opinion, this story clearly shows that it is written by a woman of a certain political affiliation. There is a complete lack of anything that is usually present in male dominated societies. There is no comradery, no loyalty, no rivalry, no friendships, no respect and so on. Every man is either a creep, a boot licker, arrogant or irrelevant. There are only two exceptions. One is the mentor (who is essentially a prince charming) and the other one is so occupied with money that he treats her as a customer, not a fellow human. But even though he treats her with a certain level of respect, he is essentially a throwaway character who fulfills the temporary role as a merchant and networking partner.
But since this is a fanfic, I don't judge those things too harshly.

I'm not one for reviews so bear with me as I make this truly brief.
    Grammar: No complaints
plot: Acceptable, but nothing really pivotal happens as of yet.
MC: So without too many spoilers the gender-bender seems unnecessary and adds nothing to the plot, but who knows maybe the author just wanted a story where the guy is ok with being a female. Whatever.
Overall the story is ok. Nothing really pivotal happens to move the plot as of yet so there's not much to go on except how the MC settles in to her new environment and tasks. Beyond that if your uncomfortable with the gender-bender stuff either skim through the weird uncomfortable parts to get to the story or move on. Either way I think for a remake of Warlock magus with a different view on it it's ok. I'm saying ok because there's not anything substantial that happens to really give a valid opinion on.

Main character is railroaded to the top, their personality straight out from a wet dream and the reader must be reminded how amazing they are at every moment. Classic stuff.
That and an awful cultivation trope filling up pages that instead could be moving the story forward. Half a star, but 4 invisible full stars for being free.
