Description

Got killed in a car incident. It was excruciatingly painful and it wasn't a fast an easy death. But what's worst? I was reincarnated as a dumb mushroom. I mean I love mushrooms! Love em so much I had some as a side at practically every meal, but who said I wanted to live as one?

This story started brewing in my mind during my workout. It really isn't fleshed out but I do have a general idea of where I want to go.

Chapters are Monday-Friday except Wednesdays. Subject to change at my descretion.

I don't know why I am enjoying every mini-shroom of this story. But I am. This is just fantastic.
There is a disturbingly little mushroom puns. But the author still seems like a Fungi.

    So, a few things:
    1. The chapters are, for the most part, very short.
    2. The story starts out incredibly slow, which shouldn't really be a surprise since, y'know, mushroom.
    3. The setting is indeed a fantasy world. It takes a very long while to get any fantasy elements in, aside from the whole isekai and MC doing stuff aspects.
    4. The MC seems like a decent enough guy while he's interacting with the world. Turns out to be a jerk though.
All in all worth a try and it won't take you as long to read through as you'd think.

In this novel, we follow the unusual adventures of a character without a name, who is reborn as a mushroom while retaining his human brain. Although reincarnation stories are not even common, but cliche by now, this one stands out due to its unique take on the concept. Unlike many other stories of this type, it does not involve a power fantasy or ego-fluffing for teenagers. Instead, it is an interesting take that on the reincarnating thing.
What makes this story decent? First, it deviates from the usual "reborn as the youngest son in the most powerful family" trope. In this case, the main character is struggling to not die from natural disasters and wild boars instead of becoming god in 3 chapters. While there are other stories featuring protagonists who transform into rocks or other less than human things, this one is pretty solid simce the author clearly knows a thing or two about mushrooms and plants in general.
Despite the lack of fully fleshed-out characters (due to their inability to speak or think in some cases), the author manages to create a sense of empathy and concern for them. The few "characters" that appear in the story are not described in great detail, yet the reader still cares about their well-being. The main character's motivations are not driven by a desire for fame or power (probably), but rather a need for companionship and a desire to protect others.
While the plot direction is uncertain, the story's potential and overall entertainment value make it a worthwhile read. The only minor criticisms are occasional grammatical errors and short chapter length. However, these are minor issues that do not change much on the overall quality of the story. Overall, this is a decent read with a lot of potential.

    Its  a fun story.
Chapters are really short which is charming in some ways and frustrating in others. Story eventually has multiple POV's which is when it starts getting good. Hopefully that author has a plan and isn't just writing to write. Would like to see the story go somewhere with a goal. Until then is just a funny story about a mushroom.
