My name is Tim, or it was until I died. There was no light at the end of the tunnel, no white room to choose any cheats from, nor was there any meeting with God.
I didn’t die heroically while saving someone, and I certainly didn’t get hit by a truck. My death was rather stupid and anticlimactic, I had apparently bumped my head while sleeping and passed away...
That should have been the end of the road for me, but like many self-proclaimed main characters, I joined the army of multi-dimensional travelers and was reincarnated.
Being an avid light novel and manga reader, I would have been excited about the opportunity, if not for my new siblings, who tried to kill me as soon as I was born, or for my mother, who seemed to have a thing for throwing me off cliffs. And let’s not forget my murderous father, who forced me to flatten a small country as my Rite of passage.
Oh, did I mention I was reborn as a Dragon?

- (GW)GamerwolfRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Story:
So the Story starts with our MC bonking his head in his sleep and frickin DYING from it lmao.
He becomes a Dragon tho, so thats fine.
The story starts out feeling a bit like a questline.
- Respect from your siblings? Fight for it!
- A Name? Yeah, you´ll have to wait and get stronger for it (and lets hope he gets a good one xD)
- Human form of a Dragon? Yeah, thats not aviable xD
and many more
Him not having any issues/ hesitation with killing Humans is also a big plus. Very cool that he really embraces being a Dragon!
His growth is very fast (as you might´ve expected) but he´s still FAR away from being the strongest!
There are some great action chapters, but also just chapters to relax ^^
Antagonists? Well, like in every story they are up to shady stuff :D
Style:
Fun to read, but there is room to improve. Like the fights could feel a bit more immersive imo. Dont hold back too much on how you describe the fights. Feel like the "Violence" has gotten less in the last few chapters.
Grammar:
Good grammar, easy to understand and if there are spelling mistakes (which happens rarely), they get corrected very quickly.
Character:
Every character has its own unique personality, goals and what they want to protect. Some fail and some succeed. Its just how the natural flow of things is.
Overall i definitely recommend checking out this story!
- GW - CziboRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0That was the first light novel that I read, and it left me thirsty for more. I really enjoyed it; the fact that on the first day I read for 20 hours straight, covering 200/300 chapters, says it all. I know that this story is not for everyone. The main character makes mistakes and is sometimes just straight arrogant. I know some people will be annoyed by this, but personally, I love that he slowly and steadily changes. He sees that he makes mistakes and tries to take responsibility for his actions and fix what he's done. I'm 400 chapters in, and I still feel like there's a lot of mystery to uncover and many things to see. The fact that the main character can't change his form to human is a big plus. The story has a lot of likable characters, practically from the start, with an interesting dynamic between them and the MC. What can I say? You'll probably love it or hate it, but in my opinion, it's really worth giving this story a shot.
- DeathwingminionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It a great book about a human turned dragon and with it trying to get used to it with his wholesome family.
Also fear not its a non-human story the whole time and he doesn't trun into a human like many other non-human stroy out their. Also we do meet humans, but our mc remain a dragon.
It has Great worldbuilding one that doesn't feel info dump and you just want to learn more of the world, especially in the second book where we learn more and more about the dragons. It has a very different take on dragons and gods. I especially like the whole planes and the king mysterious. You just want to how they came to be.
And for the characters part i really love the siblings of our mc. And also his development that he gets in the second book.
As all things it's not perfect. The problem that I have is that after the mortal plane arc the war with the shades feels a little dull, like its just our dragon monologue and not lot of interaction with other characters. And also it repeats a couple of thing that I find annoying. I just hope that we take a step back and bring more like the first book pace and its characters interaction.
I really love the story and I highly recommend it to any non-human or dragons lovers. - EpikosRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like stories like these.
They might not be the heaviest stories you can read around here. They might not feature the most complex plotlines or ginormous world-building you'll find from the start. They might not even feature anything ground-breaking in character. But what they do feature is something we can't get enough of... and that is a special archetypal character type that we all love.
Fucking dragons, man!
The last story center around a dragon I read was Vainqueur the Dragon, and that story was amazing. It was hilarious. And it was super sharp, fun, witty, and wacky. This is not Vainqeuer, but it tickles my inner joy for dragons who I find to be some of the mightiest, rawest, and greatest creatures in most media.
Although I do have a bone to pick against dragons when it comes down to my preferred creatures facing against them. But that's neither here nor there. What we should focus on is that the author presents us an Isekai where the MC becomes a dragon. Thanks to him being an Isekai, we get his unique perspective on the matter that helps us relate to him while he's going through the situation.
His reactions are over the top, and fun, and sometimes human, and obviously dragon. He puts himself as the alpha after fighting some of his siblings. But then we watch with delight as the other young dragons start to show their own personalities that makes them distinct and cute at times.
If there's one major thing I'll like to point out that bugs me is one of the dragons' names.
Seriously, could you call him anything else other than Blacky? Midnight. Obsidian. Shadow. BLACK. Darko. Anything would do other than Blacky.
Style wise, the chapters are on the short side. But that's how the author keeps up with posting and keeps his quality.
Grammar wise I do see a couple of mistakes, but they're easy to read over. No big deal.
I like the story's direction.
Character wise... I have my heart set on Golden Boy and He Who Needs A Better Name.
That's about it. - FvG_SmallZRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0amazing series so far 15 out of 10 amazing power scaling and how it constantly reminds you that there is always someone stronger and pacing character development is also the right speed I absolutely love the character development of sidius, and ynos and how they matured but still had some of their pre ch-100 attitude amazing overall and the magic is described really paints a picture as if you are the one wielding it the only problems is when it says "EN" and some grammar as well as the character of the knight that we meet and becomes pissed by the shade I feel as though his character could have been written better and I hope we get more chapters from the disciples pov
- Inuyasha_ThyKingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hmmmm... Just finished my two day binge. Why are there no more comments?? Are there at least a lot of readers?
So far it has been amazing. Light hearted vibe with good tension, character development, world building, adventure and one of my favorite magic systems.
One other thing. Love the fact that he doesn't try tor be too much of a human. Some emotional crossroads and stuff, but I really enjoy the way he accepts the taste for carnage, violence and beastly things that most MCs of this type of book try to run away from.
One of my favorite parts has also been the side characters. Very good execution with distinctive personalities and very impacting in the MCs thoughs and actions.
Keep up the good work author!!
P.S.: I did see some minor grammar issues along the way, but nothing murderous.
I need at least 200 words, but I feel that what I said so far was enough so this is filler. Super recomend the reading, though.

The writing is solid and doesn't interfere with reading experience which I also appreciate. It is a captivating novel that so far has delivered and hopefully it will continue to do so in the future!
- LostLightGamingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I had been following this series for a long time, not only is the series very good, but so is the author! They are very nice and sweet to talk to! I really look forward to following Aether's adventure!
One thing I love to that I can reread the series and find things I had missed before! Its a series that keeps giving! - Saef AbdelmohsenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I LOVE THIS BOOK. Dragon fight in space is cool, Dragon fight is cool, Dragon is cool, Shades fighting dragons is cool. Guy reborn as a Dragon, cool. The book is overall excellent, with few to zero errors, and I love it still. Hope there is more to come. 😃Smile face.
- SageofloreRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What can I say, it's an isekai with a dragon as the main character. I love dragons, and this goes into depth about the struggle of what it would be like if you suddenly became a dragon. I feel like the author knows what they are doing because in each chapter I find out more about the dragons he is creating and how they work in the world, the more I want to read.
Style: Great style in immersing me in what a dragon is and how it would feel, being one.
Story: The best way someone has introduced a world to me in a long time. And through a dragon's eyes no less. It really has got me enthralled in how the rest of the world will interact with the main character down the line and what the overarching threat will do to this world.
Grammar: Not a grammar N*zi so nothing I can spot wrong with it.
Character: The characters are great with sibling rivalry, banter, familial love and overall they sound like actual people/dragons.
Although I feel like very little of the human side (Tim) is shown in Aether's personality, besides better common sense skills and reasoning. But looking past that makes the story a bit better in my opinion.
My only gripe is that it doesn't have thousands of chapters so I could binge read this until I die.
