Description

In a land ruled by vile monsters, where death is common and life is cruel, one outcast endeavors to have it all. When misfortune drags the odd goblin Stryg from his forest home and into the ruthless city of Hollow Shade, he must try and adapt to a world that only sees him as a dimwit savage. Stryg finds himself embroiled in a school of magic, where an aristocrat's smile is filled with deceit and the simplest of remarks may lead to death threats. Yet nothing will stop him from aspiring to his beliefs of glory: power, honor, and food with salt. This story pulled me in and held me tight. This story is great! One of the best stories I have read on RR or anywhere else in a long time. The pacing is great, the magic system is immersive and fleshed out and the characters are legitimately interesting. The lore and word-building is where I think this story really shines however. It is clear that the author put a lot of work into it before they started actually writing.
As you can no doubt tell, I love this story, and I can't recommend it enough. Give it a go and see what you make of it!
P.S. As a side note, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why this story isn't trending

The characters, all of them, have a level of complexity and depth that I've never seen before. They grow, they're kept part of the story and almost anyone is left behind. They grow as people and they do so organically. As a writer, I'm inspired and this is the level I aspire to reach.The story is good, the setting is innovative yet a bit cliche: the broken world; elemental magic; magical creatures and mortal apotheosis; different races and racism for the hybrids. The same d&d/tolkien high fantasy spin off with a creative history and well written world building. A solid 9/10The chapters are fast paced while the flow of time in-world is very fluid. 10 capters can be the different catch-ups with different povs, as well as two timeskips. I personally like it and its one of the reasons that this novel keep me engaged. Even if I take a few days without reading, it's easy to remember where I left. 10/10Nothing else to say, I'm really enjoing this book so far and I'm definitively keeping it in my homepage. Even diehard fans of strictly rpg books should give it a try.English is not my first language so be kind.

Kinda slow start, at like 20-30 chapters it really gets going and hasnt stopped so far! And it seems to stay good. I stopped Reading Updates on my other novels where I caught up with the Releases because this is really awesome!
Charakters are very life like, Story is planned out. Sneak peaks at Future Events through other Charakters viewpoints. Normally I am not a Fan of multiple lead Charakters and chapter that just repeat old Events, here we only get These when they add relevant view Points that shed light on past or current Events for the Readers pleasure. And it feels so good because it Never throws you out of the Story. Idk what more to Write, this is simply awesome!

Ugh I hate the new review rules so let me take a deep breath and here we go. MC is awesome, no op god of BS with unpenetrable mc armor here. He struggles, he grows, the world is a dangerous violent place and honestly he's very well adapted to it. We are still in the beginnings with everything getting fleshed out side characters feel alive, no one has felt like a puppet reading off lines, and the magic system if very in depth more so than I expected. Looking forward to seeing where this story goes in a big way and hope the author paces themselves doesn't get the burn out or deaded writer's block or even worse. Bad reviews from people that get off telling others why their hard work isn't up to their standards 🤣. Good luck bro!

I started reading this story when it only had around 50-60 chapters. I was looking for a magic genre and not just fantasy. I wanted a novel with magic as it's focus and I am glad that I picked this one.
Quality: The story is not just good but excellent. It's at a level that a successful animated TV series can be launched. All the elements including Characters, magic system, antagonist, mc, support cast, fantasy elements, world building- All are of top quality and realistic with their own stories and life.
Most novels fails one of the above and aren't able to live up to their potential but this novel doesn't suffer from this ailment.
I have read more than 400 chapters and the quality is only increasing with some very powerful wow moments across the journey.
This novel has: Adventure, Action, Magic, 3d Cast, Rich story, World building, Twists and surprises, Realistic MC, Great Antagonists
The best is the story which has many layers, twists, wow moments, excellent world building, deep character stories.

I generally wait until a novel reaches 1000+ pages before I start it. I looked at this one and read it until chapter 203. Unfortunately the glossary is something like 200 pages long, which makes the book seem longer than it really is. Also, I'm all for the idea of giving patreons their names in your chapters, but by god does it get repetitive and obnoxious.
Otherwise, the book is fantastic. Highly reccomended.
