Description
If you were given the chance to start again, what would you do differently? For Ethan, the answer comes easily. Earth has been pulled into the vast multiverse trial, one where survival isn’t guaranteed and failure means extinction. Humanity is scattered across dangerous levels, each one more brutal than the last, racing against time to clear them before everything collapses. Ethan has seen how it ends. He fought through every level. Watched heroes rise and fall. Stood on the final battlefield as the last survivor—only to realize that even victory had come too late. Until he’s given a chance. Would you like to restart? With nothing left to lose, Ethan accepts. It’s time to do it again. Time to pick up the mantle and become the Knight humanity needs. - AmbertheoneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story follows a regressor as he tries to write wrongs and save humanity from its fate. The pacing is done well, the story flows and doesn’t info dump or linger. It finds the sweet spot where the Mc gains power at a rate that keeps things interesting. This isn’t a numbers go brrr kind of story. The characters themselves are the highlight for me. The author does a good job of making it so it’s not black or white. No one is there just for the sake of the Mc to look cool or whatever. The Mc himself is handled well. I like the touch of him overestimating himself because he is used to being powerful but now needs to start again. He does have his flaws though. It seems silly he struggles with cultivation considering he should have done it once before so you’d assume he knows exactly what to do. He doesn’t. It does feel a little like he has knowledge from the future but hasn’t actually lived it. We are still early on though. And I do love the direction everything is heading in.The grammar is clearly great, you just need to read through it and you’ll see there’s hardly any mistakes.Overall this is one of the better reads I’ve had. It’s enough for me to leave my first review!
- Bigdaddy8Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It’s a good easy read that uses logic more often than not. The regression works well, the Mc is believable and the concept seems fun. I’ve been enjoying the way the story’s told. It’s pretty good. The supporting cast also feel like they have their own voice and dialogue flows well. All in all it’s a good story to read
- Earthing MezurakiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A very good read. I love the MC in first chapter very much also the combat writing is excellent. But...If I have to find one drawback so, it is that—sometimes it looks like author try to summarise the scenes which makes me feel that it is an ai. Anyway I'm going to read ahead let's see what happens next...haha.
- GraygleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel leans into tropes, but it does it creatively and effectively with some interesting innovations. The MC is a regressor who returns to the day his trial starts with knowledge of how he and the rest of humanity can best climb the tower, survive, and prepare for integration. He was in the last human army and the only one who actually survived the defeat of the final boss to start the integration. (First chapter spoiler, but oh, well.) The system then gave him the choice to restart. There's an unusually good balance between his personal desire to reunite with those who died in his first timeline and the need to maximize his strength given what he knows is coming. This lends itself to engaging and complex side characters and plenty of potential for character development all around. There's also plenty of foreshadowing of intra-human and system imposed challenges and conflicts to come, so I don't see the plot slowing down any time soon. The characterization is made even better by an interesting quirk of the MC: He wasn't an overpowered training/battle junkie in his first timeline. In fact, it seems he was likely more middle of the pack (of those who survived to the final battle), which means he has a lot to do to change his mindset and optimize this new chance he's gotten. The environmental world building - just the first tower level so far - is excellent, with a mix of conventional and creatively new monsters and fights mixed with the hazards of a vivid desert environment. The rest of the world building is pretty shallow so far, though. A lot of the system dynamics are under-explained, including not only the expected mystery of how and why he regressed but also the mechanics of skills and levels and even the system's goals. Specifically, there's little to no discussion of what integration is or what implications it might have for Earth or humanity as a whole. It's not even clear if all of humanity will end up in the trials, or if some are left behind. Some of that is
- MandosiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story follows Ethan, a regressor trying to fix past mistakes and bring humanity with him. I like the premise that the Mc is willing to help, and so far when he’s been given the option he has. It’s nice to see instead of the usual edgy Mc. Ethan is an enjoyable character to read about. He has his flaws but actively acknowledges them and moves on. But the main thing I enjoy is the author is active in past chapters: if something is pointed out they will usually go an edit it to make to story better for the next reader.
- Materia-BladeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't leave reviews often, but this story is something special.I can't even really put into words why. It's not doing anything you haven't seen before. Classic regressor format, demon king, tutorial zone, earth's last heros fall defeating said demon king, chance to restart, yadda yadda...But this one just does it so damn well that it makes it feel fresh and new. A great story and a must-read.
- T3zeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Alright, I’ll start off by saying this review is as of chapter 19 (I’ve read ahead on Patreon.)
And boy am I glad I did. Every now and again, a story pops up that draws you in so much you don’t want it to end. This is in that category. From the characters to the prose, everything comes together to create an amazing tale. In a genre filled with mediocre writing and repetitive story’s this is a breath of fresh air.
While the idea has been used before, this does more than enough to stand on its own with the bigger names in litrpg.
The style and flow of the work make reading a breeze, each chapter brings something new to the story, creating a perfect pacing of action and world building.
And the story itself, like I said, while isn’t unique, it does everything right. There’s a clear heading and obvious goals that the Mc is working towards. Every reveal draws me in more and it just gets better and better. The Mc himself is extremely easy to like. The author spends a lot of time inside his head and showing his thoughts and reactions to his regression. There are clear moments where you know he’s adjusting to his circumstances and it makes him human. Not some absolute know it all with all the answers. And for me personally that makes it a lot more enjoyable.
As for the grammar, if you decide to read it, I doubt you will find many mistakes. I for one haven’t.
This is a gem, I want more chapters ASAP. - The Chthonic OverlordRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am at a total and complete loss of words. This is a stunning masterpiece of a book, a beautiful tapestry of passion and words, woven by the skilled hands of a master. Each chapter makes me want to cry, with writing so perfect you would not expect it of a published book. The premise: impeccable. The plot: immaculate. The character: A little bit dumb, but amazing none the less. And the grammar: Oh yes---the grammar. The grammar is so perfect, so... flawless, that I simply cannot put it into words. For your sake, just read the book. I would be doing you a disfavor to even try to describe it, like a candle trying to mimic a forest fire. So please, if it is my dying wish, read this masterpiece of a book. The good:1. OPMC regressor fiction2. Impeccable grammar3. A world the author had put some thought into4. Great worldbuilding5. A realistic MC6. A lovable plot7. MC is overpowered---but due to the unique plot, he is overpowered within reason8. (so far) updates/chappies every day9. Emotional writing that makes youfeelsomething.10. No knollage dumping---the author eases you into the world11. No AI. Despite being criticized for his use of M-Dashes, the book is as far from AI as you can go. Some of you are probably thinking of this review as AI because of the M-dashes, but like, seriously? The Bad1. Character-growth in a seasoned veteran2. Yeah... I cant think of anything else
- The Grim SkaldRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've always had issues with start over/time loop stories. I still read them and enjoy them, but I rarely burn through them. This story is well written, the MC is engaging, and he chooses to do the good deed when he can. The characters the MC meets are not one dimensional and interesting.I have caught up to the release cycle and I'm impatiently waiting for the next chapter!
- TimfinitiveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I cant help but feel exicted about this one. Too often I find novels that fail to deliver on premise by either poor execution, lack of strcture and general dilluted logic and action-> cause relation. But this one...this one might be just another great thiung to follow. i remember one of the first novel I start reading was [reincarnator], which started off gread but was egdy, quality detoriated but created a great vivid world and got me hooked on reincarator themeThis one feels like took everything that made the reincarnator great and added a certain mature and polished way of writing that makes me hopefull about how the story unfoldsIf you look for something great to follow and get immersed yourself, look no futher. I feel in my bones it is going to be amazing one. [read up to 20 chapters on patreon, thanks man for making it free!]
