Description
River is a 25-year old mountain-hiker hobbyist and a chef blogger who finds herself entrenched in the colorful mythological designs of a universe that is not her own. The only thing keeping her sane? The words of her therapist Dr. Malia nagging in her head.
What does she want? Home. What does she need? Family
But a cruel goddess pulls her into the heart of tribal drama and their corrupting issues that threatens the fate of their great world. It's up to River to unite the tribes and make them whole again. After all, isn't this other universe a product of her deepening psychosis?
Or is it?

- luda305Royal Road★★ 2.0It's rare to find a completed, novel-length story on Royal Road based on a decent premise. This may be singularly unique in how poorly it was executed.
Reviewed through chapter 6.
Style: The style needs a lot of work on a small scale. Innumerable sentences are just awkward. Strange meanings. Misused idioms. It's odd considering that grammar itself is fairly good.
Grammar: fairly good.
Story: The story is basically a turn on the summoned hero subtype of isekai. That's fine I suppose, but the worldbuilding seems like a real mess. Of course, very subtle worldbuilding will slowly reveal piece by piece, rather than have a word wall of exposition. But in doing so, one has to be careful. And among the various factors to consider is that the pieces, though not necessarily interconnecting immediately, have some consistency among them. That here seems to very lacking.
Additionally, there are several elements of the worldbuilding that strongly suggest that the author lacks familiarity with them and, as such, her descriptions regarding same are rather poor. E.g., hiking through mountains. E.g., leather clothing. E.g., semi-nomadic people.
Character: The characters suffer from a similar flaw as the worldbuilding, but far more severely. At the most superficial level, the protagonist comes across as an anxious young woman who wants to refuse the call to adventure. That is a perfectly fine archetype for a summoned hero story, but the actual building of her character is so poorly done. There are two facets to mention. First, it does seem like a number of characters were picked out by the author and then tossed into a bowl without figuring out how to blend them together into a single character. The result is that the protagonist's mental state/emotions seek to go all over the place without any motivating factor, and her actions/reactions are similarly inconsistent, instead only moving as the plot demands. The protagonist then comes across as stilted, caricatured, and
