Description
In the dying moments of their universe, a team of researchers launched the artificial lifeform Seraphina into the interplanar void, hoping to spare other universes their fate.
Eighteen years later, as most of Earth is coming to grips with the calamitous arrival of a mysterious System, a young woman begins having vague impressions of her life in that now-dead universe. The reborn Seraphina doesn't remember much, but one thought keeps forcing itself to the forefront of her mind: the System is sapient and purposeful.
Unfortunately, she has no idea what the System wants.
Now she's in a race against time. Granted new powers as[Planetouched Mechanist] by the System itself, Seraphina needs to learn how to blend magic and technology, awaken her sealed memories, and above all else, figure out the System's purpose.
If only she could be sure that her meddling will save her new home and not doom it.
Volumes 1-3 are completed and posted in their entirety. The series is, as of Oct. 26, 2025, on long-term hiatus.
What to expect:
Project Seraphinawill gradually shift from an urban fantasy setting to a sci-fi one over the course of the story.
Two best friends (and maybe more) taking on the System-Integrated World! [Note: There will be sapphic/girls love/yuri romance beginning in volume 2.]
This story takes place on Earth, and features a character who is shaped by real-life politics and events. Although not the focal point of the story, real-life history, politics, and politicized topics do feature throughout the depicted events.

- ChaosOmega98Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is sad to hear that people’s views on this novel has made it be dropped as this was an excellent novel and I was hopping to see how it ended. I hope that the author will have the courage to come back and finish this as I miss reading this.
- DatateqRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am really enjoying your story. I like the class for the MC and the exploration of the underlying mechanics of the system. Someone should take the System devs to task for the poor help files ;) I just finished the first book and am looking forward to the next. I even learned a little bit about scorpion anatomy that I didn’t know. My suggestion is to work uncommon knowledge like that into the story with a little more detail (She attacked the joint behind the tip, which she knew from biology class, was called the telson). This way you let readers know it isn’t a misspelling. At first I thought it was until I looked it up. At any rate, thanks for sharing your time and creativity.
- EiferRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Let's get the negative out of the way first. The anti-police, military, government verbiage is a bit too heavy and frequent for my tastes. It's not much of an exaggeration to say it's brought up almost once every few chapters.
I think it's perfectly possible to write a compelling narrative for why the MC has a distinct dislike, even hate, towards government authority of seemingly any kind without basically force feeding the reader.
I find the rest of the story compelling enough, albeit a bit stiff and awkward in the dialogue sometimes, to muscle through it, with the hope that it tapers off sooner rather than later.
Alright, that's the bad stuff out the way.
I find the overall premise of the story very interesting. I've read one, maybe two, stories that touch on a similar "save everyone from the system" premise, but done in a vastly different way and usually done in a kind of xianxia style.
This is comparatively much more relaxed yet also more tense. There's not that sense of invulnerability that a lot of the protagonists have in stories like these, but there's also not the repetitive "kill 500 million monsters to perfect your basic sword strike skill" or some such.
While I'm struggling a bit to really get a image of the MC's personality just yet, specially as certain events* unfold that have an impact on how she view people and the world around her, I've found her thinking and general reactions to be compelling and enjoyable, albeit rather understated and muted in some cases.
All in all I find it worth a read. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea though.
*these events are more than likely the reason that one review is being upset that she suddenly starts saying and doing stuff for no reason. It's not really stated outright, but it's pretty apparent if you actually pay attention to when these shifts happen. - GenPowerEveryNightRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The novel is as it says, a classic spin on the typical LIT-rpg format. The system is well executed, and with the MC's past 'reincarnation' coming into place through flashbacks we the reader get to skim through as she experiences them in real time. There can be some issues with the lengthy dialogue and exposition when she speaks explains things to others. But, the general repertoire between characters overcomes it for the most part.
There isn't a large case of a character being too overpowered for the progression to feel undeserved. Interesting challenges appear throughout the story with a heavy emphasis on past knowledge from her reincarnation coming to place in the present. This can be felt with her opinions about the system and how humanity should address it, partnered with her inner gut feeling that the system is alive and something humanity shouldn't trust / malicious etc.
Power wise its fun, as she gains inspiration from her past when reviewing certain parts of the new system-integrated world and creating new items to use. The item creation process feels original and custom, and I enjoy that part of the story in particular. Other classes feel standard and have their own twists and bonuses, but in general it focuses on her class, how she uses it to analyze items and improve them, and how se studies the new system-based items for inspiration. Other classes are basically standard for the genre but aren't a bad touch either.
In total, a classic lit-rpg style format novel, with hints of romance and greater stakes involved as you read. Nothing jumps out at me uniqueness-wise, but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment you get by reading it. If you expect something deeper or emotionally-involved, you won't find much of that here, as she is pretty cut and dry. Well written, fun to follow. - ZephanyZephZephRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Absolutely adore this serial and cannot get enough. Grammar and pacing have very few to know stumbles, and for the meaning inclined there is a great deal concerning identity and position in and on the world. A good weave of story that doesn't introduce things and leave them behind, but rather makes sure every part is a fantastic machine that shows love, politics, and combat within a world changing due to a System.
- numberpiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story very quickly captured my attention, and I am already awaiting new updates to find out how society and the individual characters react and develop to their unexpected circumstances, despite the limited number of chapters currently available. Though Sera is certainly not the first protagonist with a prior life, this is the first I've read where the prior life was artificial and I wonder whether this will influence her life in novel ways. As has been mentioned to me, so not really my own words, this may be one of few stories where the character chooses a class to fit in with her party from the beginning, though it is unclear how mutable the partyis in terms of its members at this stage.
The System at its core is so far not hugely different from the usual, with perhaps the exceptions of a rolling initialisation - meaning not everyone receives access to the system simultaneously, which has some wider societal differences to the more expected immediate collapse of governments and institutions - and the System being potentially conscious (in what way is unclear as of yet. I am anticipating many more questions about the System before any hint of answers!
These first few chapters gives few hints of the future paths this story will take, nevertheless there does seem to be a path planned and I hope the author continues to write if just to fulfill my curiosity. It is well worth a recommendation to read. - Omens 1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0TLDR: Read it. Currently an Urban Fantacy (Science Fantasy, specifically) story about getting through a slow apocalypse. Good people exist, bad people exist, and the brand new existence defining System is a societal positive feedback loop.
Style: Effectively written and released as a recounting of events by the Protagonist, Seraphina, who then often responds to the commenting audience. The extent of reader interaction is exclusively the comments section, as the character of Seraphina is an indeterminate amount of time further into the future than the story's release.
Story: Truck-kun brought the Isekai to us, and The System has decided to make it Everyone's problem. Sudden Science Fantasy with mechanical overseer which is, if not actively malicious, uncaring besides self entertainment. The plot is thus far about learning about, navigating through, and forging relationships in this newly changed world.
Grammar: Grammer is quite good and sentence structure is strong. I dock Grammar a star exclusively because of a me thing, where in a word or two are reused too close or often. Likely not a deal breaker for most, however because of how my brain is, it acts as a mental speed bumb every time I notice.
Characters: Interesting and varied characters, not all of whom are vital to the plot. Some exist for the purposes of scene enrichment or world building. Characters act reasonable and consistent with previous descriptions, and new characters are quick and relatively easy to get.
Final Thoughts: You will know if this story is for you within the first handful of chapters. Daily uploads is a significant bonus, as you do not have to wait long for a new chapter, or a backlog to binge. I enjoy the story enough to write something about it, and I think you just might too. - WeavervaleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0All right. So this is a review for project serafina. This is a lid RPG with a system apocalypse. And I understand that this has a crafter focus as well as a kind of a ya vibe to it. I'm going to say that I cardly recommend this and it is hard to put down. That is pretty much the best praise I can say. I'm also going to mention here that I think that this is better than some works that I've seen published by traditional publishers.
So this has a very strong grammar and you can tell that the author knows what they're doing and they're right exceingingly well. The only thing that I would say and it's something I don't even do is to add more indicators of moves in conjunction with the grammar, but it's already a 5 out of five so that would only just make it like even better. It's clear who's speaking through the dialogue and it's clear what's happening so I don't really have a nitpick. This is more like a and this could be better with a line editor.
As far as story goes, this is a very let me talk about the character. So the character I get it sent to what's going with seraphina immediately. I know what she wants. I know what her friends wants and I can kind of see what she was like growing up and what her wants and desires are right off the bat so I'm very strongly attached to this character. I kind of feel like I'm her mom. So if you have me so attached to a character that I want to hold them close and hug them then it's a problem for me and you need to stop being so awesome. So story and character five out of five. So overall style especially the RPG system is really well delivered. I'm going to say that I heartily recommend this and I will probably be steamrolling through this this week - spacecowboyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The world of Project Seraphina is an interesting one, with its own fun take on the LitRPG genre. The lead character is a young woman who is almost 18 when the system hits, and she is unique, in that she is the reborn/reincarnate of another created for the sole purpose of trying to end the system at some point before the system ends the next universe. Sera, and her bff at the start Chloe, are the main focus of the story, two girls who are on spring break.
I'm just going to get the elephant in the room out of the way first. The only real gripe I have with this story is that Sera is used as a mouthpiece for the writer's personal views on anti establishment. There's always a fine line when having a character holding a viewpoint goes too far into becoming a mouthpiece for the writer instead, and that line is firmly crossed here. Sera takes every opportunity to rail against the police, the military, the government, the politicians, at basically every chance possible. Any time a situation comes up that involves any of these groups, Sera makes certain that the reader knows, without doubt, just how much she distrusts them. It's cumbersome, it ruins the immersion at times, and it risks ruining Sera as a character on numerous occasions too.
The above is complicated by the fact that Sera holds the viewpoint that humanity needs to come together and fight the System, rather than fight each other like we do so well in our history. She works with the military and the government to an extent for some time, and even appears to build camaraderie with members within it. And when she is no longer tied to it, she still comes around and lends aid. And each and every time it comes up... she hammers home how the skills she doesn't want to share will be turned against the people, this weapon will be turned against the people., etc. It damages the story so much, and it's a shame because without this point in it, I'd be rating a 5 overall, a 4.5 style and a 4.5 or 5 on character, but I can't. - Jhonny90Royal Road★★★★ 4.0So far a good story if you don't mind a world where most people especially authority figures are portrayed as bad people.
I really like the concept.
I enjoy the friends against the apocalypse and the Crafting part.
Don't know how to think about it, once other people join. I would enjoy more balanced intentions of those side characters, but that is just my personal preference.
