“You strive to become what I already am. Perfection.”
Project Ninety-Seven is not merely a number, but a name that has defined the entirety of Kyraa’s existence. Conceived with the ambitious goal of creating a chimera capable of real-time evolution, she remains oblivious to the identities and motives of her captors, who are driven by the desire to unlock the full potential of their monstrous creations.
For all her life, Kyraa has been confined to a cage, a life dominated by the bizarre circumstances of her birth as a human-sized insectoid monster. Enduring what feels like months of horrendous experimentation and relentless testing, Kyraa's nightmarish ordeal takes an unexpected turn when her captors decide to abruptly abort her project.
In a swift and unexpected conclusion, the curtain falls on "Project Ninety-Seven" as it is deemed a liability and failure. Kyraa is summarily terminated, discarded, and relegated to the realm of refuse as she is abandoned.
In her last moments she swears to take revenge on her captors, to take revenge on the world that rejected her no matter what it takes. Anything to claim her rightful place in the world. One above the lowly humans.
When Kyraa wakes in the middle of nowhere with her life hanging by a thread, she is given the chance to decide her fate for the first time. How will she move forward and accomplish her goals?
Follow her journey as she carves out a place in the world for her ever-growing family.

Don't be fooled, this is not a nice story where the MC does good despite being bad. Warcrimes will be committed, innocents will be killed, and morals will be trashed.

- HollexRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly, this story has surprised me greatly for the good, especially for a first time author. Very good ideas, very good implementation and a good and interesting protagonist.
This story puts us in the monster's shoes in a struggle not only for the right to exist and survive but also to consume and thrive as the dominant species. For me this story combines very well the genres of action, kingdom building (or hive creation rather) as well as a monster (non-human) and evil protagonist. Where we can see the evolution of the protagonist from practically a naive girl to a real sadistic queen of the hive ready to devour everything in its path.
Sincerely if you are looking for something different, out of the typical good protagonists who seek peace and coexistence, I really recommend you to give a chance to this story. because as long as you are minimally interested in the subject, I don't think you will be disappointed with this story.
Finally read the entire description and the author's warnings, to avoid surprises that may displease you, as this story and theme is not for all audiences. - M3CR_1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall, this story is very fun and addictive to read!
Style - The author's writing style contributes to the story's effectiveness. The use of descriptions is just right for me to understand what the author's trying to portray in the story, and never much that it gives me a hard time understanding. The author is super good with pacing, which always leaves me wanting more.
Story - Not going to lie, I never expected a story about a sociopathic moth/insect woman would be so good...but I'm glad I gave it a chance. From the character's personalities and interactions to the fights and worldbuilding, everything about it is good. I just can't wait for more characters to be introduced.
Grammar Score - The grammar is pretty good apart from a few errors here and there, which can be fixed through editing.
Character Score - With the characters' personalities, I can't tell who I should root for...Kyraa or the humans. The author does very well with characters, such as the MS's coldness and ruthlessness, and realistic reactions for a human getting attacked by a freaking insect woman. Nice!
Definitely one of my favorite novels on this platform. At this rate, the story will no doubt become a success! - PricklyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story knows how to write a villain, many stories with the villain tag have the MC do a lot of 'evil stuff', but most of those are still more anti-heroes rather than villains. The author has instead written a character that's not only properly villainous, but downright monstrous. The line of thought of Kyraa is also really similar to that of scientists, which makes sense since she was practically raised by them. 5/5 for realistic depiction of characters, and their motives.
- uxelRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story is a bit rough around some edges, however at its core it is a decent story.
The genre is a mix of action and kingdom builder with a nonhuman mc thats completely xenophobe.
Progression is done naturally. This is not a cliche litrpg and its also no isekai. So far this appears original aside from the hive/kingdom builder part. But I dont mind that at all.
The action scenes are very good and have a good reading flow to them. I enjoy them alot even tho they do not advance the plot.
The nature of the plot is very dark as the primary food source mc has chosen is humans. I dont think diplomacy will ever be an option...
Sadly the glue around the action sequences is not at the same quality yet, however author is working hard to improve it.
I cannot make a final verdict yet as many things depend on what author does from here on out. As things stand we have only gotten a rough glimpse at the world and some inital setups for conflict.
So far I would rate the action 9/10.
The kingdom builder part a 7/10.
And the glue around it also a 7/10.
I cannot rate the overall plot yet as its not fully apparent yet.
Since I like the premise and am curious to see where the plot goes I will give this 4 stars for now. Depending on how the main plot goes and how thr author writes the action scenes (especially larger battles which appear inevitable at this point) I can see this changeing into anywhere from a 3 star to a 4.5 star story. I however so far have high confidence in it either staying a 4 or becomming a 4.5.
