- PandemicRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is unique in it's setting and characters and the story line is quite interesting and has some level of mystery,
But I also appreciate the more disturbing parts of the story later on because it adds some dark elements to it.
All in all, it's a great story that i recommend to people wanting to try something new.
5/5 - Ink & TomeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Disclaimer: this review is based off of only the chapters I have currently read, up through the end of Chapter 7, or '84,822.' Do with that information as you will.
So, Project Eliora is a time-loop science fantasy story with a lot of really fun moments and some incredibly interesting mysteries, but it also has some areas that could use some improvement. Definitely worth the read, but I'll get into the details next.
Style: To begin, the author's strengths in prose stick out very obviously as soon as you start reading - all of the mystery aspects, the time-loop pieces and the drama involved therein, and the couple of action sequences I've read so far have all been wonderfully written and paced well. However, I did find some clunkiness in the way the author writes and separates paragraphs, especially in regard to sequences of dialogue. If that's something that might bother you, be aware of it going in, but overall stylistically the story is very enjoyable and easy to read.
Story: This is far and beyond the greatest section for this entire story, and I think the author capitalizes on that extremely well. I mentioned it above, but it ties in directly to the score here: from the mystery of the time-loop and the internal conflict and drama it causes in our protagonist, to the action sequences we've gotten so far and how they tie into the overarching plot, there's a TON to love.
Even better, the overall story in-and-of itself has me drawn in completely. I really can't wait to see what happens next at the end of each chapter, and that has kept me binging from the start to now, as I pause for this review. Thank you to Dave_Atta, because you know how to write a phenomenally fun and intriguing story!
Grammar: So, now we move on to grammar. Honestly, I've mostly just seen instances of no punctuation in single-word dialogue, or similar smaller things that don't really detract much from the reading experience. Ultimately the biggest issue for me with this section were just a coup
