Good to see more programming knowledge spread about. To those who are considering if they should read this or not, I'd say this - THIS IS NOT A STORY. More of a guide. Despite that, do try first few chapters. If you find yourself skipping and yawning, then this is not for you.
If you do read this, it won't turn you into  a "programming wizard" (just like reading a recepie book won't turn you into a master chef), so abandon that line of thought. What it could do, is make you look at your devices, applications (and the world in general) in a whole new way! Like, imagine not knowing about atomic theory and learning for the first time about them? Yeah, always good to broaden horizons...
A couple of suggessions for the author :
    1. Code samples can actually be put into " " tags like so    var x = 1;  to emphasize & distingush them from normal text.
    2. Put references as a note at bottom for the topic being discussed in the chapter so people can follow onwards deeper into it.

I see that last update was 14 months ago. I hope this work is not abandoned.

Currently I am on chapter 3 so I don't know if that will change. But thus far it is a nostalgia trip to when I first learnt how to program in the university.
I love it. Sometimes it gets confusing even for me, but I am rusty on my skills. Admittedly I did not expect a programming course even when I clicked on it, but it is a good if unexpected surprise.
Please, before anybody judges it from a story perspective try to look at a learning perspective beforehand, with a little more polishing- and more content- I am sure it can be fowarded for those with slight troubles on programming.
