Description
Princess Snow is a frostblood. Frostblood are said to be blessed by Goddess Regalia with unparalleled magical affinity, strength and wisdom. Snow however has none of these traits. In fact, she is the only member of the royal family who cant use her birth-righted power. Being the daughter of High Queen Deamonia, the fabled “Frost Queen,” has made this weakness unacceptable and Snow was given an ultimatum; contribute in some way or be casted out. In a quest to fulfill her mother's demands, Snow learns of a plot that threatens to unleash the flames of war against their newly ruling family.

- DefectivebyDesignRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good story, main characters are well written. Gets a little confusing at the end jumping around with so many characters to follow, and the transitions could be smoother. Not that I like unnecessary fluff, so I don't want anything made longer. Only minor issue, exacerbated by following the story while I was multitasking. If I had a complaint, it's the antagonists backstory. The Queen seems overly cruel and incompetent, thus needing her kids to fix her mess, and even after fixing it still doesn't really address the cruelty, incompetence, and totalitarianism. She uses humanitarianism as an excuse to execute innocents, is weak against corruption, and has horrible skills as a politician, which is so bad the children have to fix the mess. Which is fine since they are the protagonists, but you really don't sympathize with the Queen at all, since she basically caused the problems, then passes off the responsibility to fix it. I don't feel her rule is stable outside of pure military might, held together with duct tape and Elmer's glue, which is basically everyone else covering the mess. I hope any future ARC doesn't repeat this trope, as it would be really hard to justify her reign not collapsing on itself, which would basically require the kids to yet again cover the mess. Which at that point the country should ask her to step down and just run the military, or delegate all policy making to a Senate or something.
