Description

Emie Mercer was one of several billion people who survived the apocalypse and was introduced to a new reality where magic was commonplace and everyone had access to a system. Unfortunately, the rest of Emie’s family wasn't so lucky.

As far as world-changing events went, Earth’s reintegration into the Atlantis Alliance was remarkably tame. The post-apocalyptic universe mirrored the wildly popular, deep-immersion VRMMORPG – Atlas Online, allowing those who played to quickly adapt to their new reality.

More than a decade later, Emie manages to create a formation that relies on her Time and Space affinities to return her consciousness to the past. When she arrives nearly four years earlier than expected, Emie realizes she has a unique opportunity to prepare and train for what is coming.

Book 1 is now available onKindle Unlimited!

Book 2: Having gained access to the system and magic early, Emie has been granted a better opportunity to prepare for the apocalypse to come. Working with Alliance personnel, Emie tries to leverage her knowledge of the future into functional assistance without drawing too much attention to herself. With the support of her boss and mentors, Emie continues to grow and learn, expanding the gap between herself and the rest of the natives of Earth.

Book 3:

Successful in her endeavor to save her family from the dangers of the apocalypse, Emie is now faced with a new challenge: survive and thrive within the Realm Dungeon.

Known as an opportunity worth fighting for by well-informed nobles and sect elites, the dungeon provides a unique opportunity for challengers to progress more swiftly than would otherwise be possible for most Alliance members.

Join Emie as she struggles to grow fast enough to fulfill her promises while her family adjusts to the changes brought by the apocalypse.

NOTE: The MC does not know everything, she makes mistakes and becomes short-sighted occasionally... If you are looking for a returner story where the MC is super over-powered, remembers every cheat, and knows every important event that will happen... this one probably won't satisfy you.

Please note the content warnings, though they are pretty minor aspects of the story and don't come up very often.

I love this story.  MC, Emie, uses her Time Affinity to travel prior to the System Apocalypse to 1) escape her current dire predicament, and 2) save her family from their previous fates.  Emie returns to her high school years then better prepares herself and, by writing the Primer for the Apocalypse, humanity.  Slow burn story with lots of crafting and great world/character building.  Interesting to see amazing managed apocalypse where mostly benevolent galactic government tries to prepare Earth for the Apocalypse.  Highly recommended!

I’ve throughly enjoyed Emie’s story. I think at times Emie takes too saintly a view, like if I got sent back in time I’d totally have a get rich quick scheme going on (in addition to helping those around me). I look forward to the future and hope that we see much more of this story to come including any future high level antics of Emie

This is my first review on the site and I will try to do my best to make it as correct as possible.
First of all I would like to thank the author for the content shared. And so far I've had a great read.
Now let's get to the review, the genre of the story is pretty common it's a returner, but what's interesting about this one is that the main-character isn't some kind of omni-god who knows exactly every opportunity to take to become the most op possible, she knows the broad strokes and what she specialized in in her other life and for my part I find that refreshing.
The pace of the story is well done, I never really felt assaulted by too much information or like I was reading a rushed chapter.
For the moment this is only the beginning so all the characters have not yet been really developed but if I have to focus on the mc here Emie I would say that it is an interesting character to follow.
So if you like this kind of story and you don't have trouble with a character that has a progressive evolution in power I can only advise you to read Primer for the appocalypse.

Book Review: "Primer for the Apocalypse" - A Thrilling Time-Travel Adventure
"Primer for the Apocalypse" is an exciting novel that keeps readers engaged from beginning to end. The author's excellent grammar and writing style make the story easy to follow, while the plot's unique twists and turns keep readers guessing until the very end.
The main character, Emie Mercer, is a perfect mix of experience and inexperience, making her relatable and compelling. Her journey back in time has not made her all-knowing, and she must work with what she has to survive in a world that is different from what she remembers. This gives the story a realistic feel that draws readers in.
Emie's relationships with the other characters in the book are not aligned with her former self, but this is a good thing because it shows that she has changed and her outlook on life is different now. The character progression is excellent, and the levelling system adds a fun dimension to the story.
The world-building and foreshadowing in "Primer for the Apocalypse" are also outstanding. The author creates a rich and complex world that is both fascinating and believable. The integration of the LITRPG system into the story is well-done, and the author's attention to detail is impressive.
The action scenes are well-written and exciting, adding to the overall thrill of the story. "Primer for the Apocalypse" is a great read for fans of time-travel adventures, post-apocalyptic fiction, and action-packed novels.
Overall, "Primer for the Apocalypse" is a fantastic novel that will keep readers hooked until the very end. With its great grammar, perfect mix of experience and inexperience of the main character, excellent world-building and foreshadowing, good character progression, levelling system, and exciting action scenes, this book is a must-read.

One of the best series I have read in recent years. Easy to read, the storyline is engaging and well paced, I never felt annoyed with the MC for taking too long to achieve her goal. The world building was expansive, and the characters detailed enough for me to have opinions on whether I liked them, or not. I binged the series in a week and am now considering if I want to listen to the audio version.

A pre-apocalypse litRPG where the elements flow naturally and the characters are engaging. I highly recommend this story! Emie, the MC feels like a solid middle aged woman who survived the apocalypse through luck and determination. She doesn’t set out to survive it again but she was aware of the consequences and that she might have to. The system, the greater universe, and the people she knows all slowly unfold as she explores this new branch of her reality.
I’m not normally a fan of VR litRPG as I find the stakes just don’t feel the same. The way the game is set up as training allows the in VR stakes to feel deep and meaningful. It’s not just a game, it’s preparation for life.

Very good story over all. Very few grammatical issues, the only half point I'm docking is for a little bit of inconsistency in the MC's behavior, and some of the dialogue feeling a bit stiff. Now I'm just adding words to hit the requirement of 50 words. words words words words words words words

A good returnee litRPG, with likable characters and good progression so far.
Sometimes feels like the explanations could have been more to the point, with it occasionally feeling like they are being repeated.
Otherwise, I find the world and overall story quite interesting and see alot of potential in where the story can go from here.

It was exactly as it says in the blurb , its a different kind of regressor story , with an MC that's not instantly OP. I liked that it was lighter , that it has a well made system  and the SoL pieces.
So far a nice addition to the genre, will have to see how it developes

There are few words I could use to describe this novel.
It's so well written, but the stakes are so low and will probably be for a long time, I doubt I will continue reading.
From all other sides, it's perfect. I like the characters, the system and the adventure. I just dislike how it has literally zero tension.
