Pride, Greatest of the Sins
Community Rating
Description
Lucy isn't proud. She's simply confident in her own superiority. To the demon god, Pride though, that's basically the same thing. Lucy was taken from her mostly ordinary life on earth and told by Pride that she would become their incarnation in another world in order for Pride to win a game against the other Seven Deadly Sins. Lucy never wanted to participate, but the conditions aren'tallthat bad. She'll be going to a world with magic and monsters, and best of all a System, just like in the webnovels she likes to read. And she can return to her original world with no time passed when she's done. Besides, there's no point in going against a god. Better to go along willingly to make things easy. Now, all she has to do is defeat the other 6 incarnations, and return home...
After a little bit of a rocky start, I've finally got the story rolling, and it's picking up steam. The other incarnations have almost all been introduced, the side characters have more personality, and are less 'convenient' and Lucy is showing off her pride a lot more. Definitely check this story out if you're interested in a more character-focused LitRPG with a morally gray protagonist, and a touch of classical music influence.
I have marked the story with all the content warnings, just in case, but there is nothing overly explicit here. Aside from the profanity, this story is firmly within the boundaries of a PG-13 rating.

- GhettoVikingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm thoroughly enjoying this story. Language and grammar is good. Characters are well written and compelling. System is well thought out. The only negative is that some of the supporting characters are a bit... Convenient (Anatoly and Natalya), but it's a minor thing in imo.
Give this story a shot, if you enjoy well-written LitRPG, with compelling characters, and a good system that doesn't overpower the story. - azgalorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An easy, almost slice of life, read that I couldn't put down. The MC is not op from the start and acts smartly. There are no plot holes that I could see. This is generally a very good, easy to read, story what else do you need to give it a try?
- GooNieRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't usually write reviews but I like the story and think it deserves more readers. It's not a story that brakes any molds. Their are some unique ideas that make it stand out but if you're looking for a good litrpg then you'll probably like this. Good world building without info dumps, strong protagonist without being op, and interesting side characters.
- LemerlinoiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As the title says, this story is great at what it does. What the story promises to do it deliver with aplomb and finesse. It doesn't try to be something it's not, in a way its an honest story, it will give you what it says it will do. The pace is great and it make it so that the storybcan deliver on it promises without feeling like a quagmire of useless detail. That's what I like about it, it's no nonsense attitude. And it's funny that the way the story is deliver is really a parallel with the protagonist, she's great and have the same quality that the story does. She's a no nonsense go getter, confident in herself.
Overall, it's a great Litrpg, not a gimmicky one that lose its luster quickly but a solid one. - Lemon snakeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is very immersive and a true diamond... The only thing is that it's... For an avid reader like me... Short. But I mean, a lot of great things are rare and few right?
Expect some LitRPG elements, a down to earth MC that is ... Prideful and strong.
A recommended read! - Xasi Al DenaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0So far not the deepest story but it's enjoyable and worth a read if you're looking for a decent LitRPG. MC is interesting if nothing else, I'm a fan of her pragmatic nature.
I do think that the pacing could do with some work, but I also understand that the author is writing this chapter by chapter, which makes it hard to really dial in the pace of certain scenes.
Overall solid story, worth giving it a chance. - LemixRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I will start by saying that i enjoyed reading it, no matter what you read further in my review or how critical i'm it was worth reading in my opinion.
I'm gonna list positives and negatives here without spoilers and the rest of my review would spoil the story i'm just warning you before you read further.
Characters 7/10
I found most characters quite good and i will include dialogue in this rating, there are a few that were terrible, but they were more of an exeption.
Story 7/10
It would have been higher, but this story is basically abandoned, so don't expect resolution and some early stuff has flaws probably because of lack of planning.
Litrpg/progression/combat 3/10 1/10 4/10
This is the weakest part of the story, Litrpg menus are barely used, there is no progression at all and instead it just "timeskip", most of the combat is just skipped and the one that present is pretty bland, there is some kind of clash with the nature of the story and author priorities in relation to those aspects of it, there lack of "show, dont tell" here.
You might think, why do i even give it 4 stars, well i liked the story itself even with all the flaws.
Everything after that will be spoiler so dont read if you care about those.
I will start with progression.
We have MC that gets transported into new world by a demon god one of the deadly sins, and she has to defeat other 6 to win, and she basically starts from scratch, when she gets into town she joins Adventure Guild and meets an Elf that gives her some books to study magic.
Then the next chapter timeskip happens and she already knows a bunch of spells and skills.
Then she goes into a dungeon, it lasts like 1 chapter and its basically a joke, after this there is another timeskip that lasts 4 months or so, that kinda ridiculous.
She learns a bunch of stuff offscreen and you just get a summation in the menu and then she goes to the dungeon again and its a timeskip again 5 years now...
She is now fuckin archmage, yay, she has a gigantic - malinizgeldiRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It's a good idea, but as you progress, the glaring mistakes become more numerous. first of all, his style and grammar are excellent. spoilers next
elves are very op. they are completely immortal and some are 4,000 or 5,000 years old. If the first elves are alive, there are perhaps 10-15 thousand years old wives. and they become very, very powerful by constantly changing classes and constantly taking the abilities of different classes. And what I don't understand is that humans and animal communities rule this world, it's ridiculous. and as in almost every book, beings who are 4 5 thousand years old behave like adolescents. this is so crap. Also, mc is getting stronger very fast, but this boost is nothing to worry about when compared to elves. However, some elves notice mc and think he is the demon king. mc is someone who appeared out of nowhere 2 months ago, but despite this, they don't apply to jail or anything different. instead they teach it. some elves think he is a normal individual, but they have no reason to think so. those who doubt teach him. dialogues and mc's behavior only gets worse as he progresses.
As a result, I leave the book in chapter 24. I think it is going downhill, but there is no such thing as not going up again. I have been reading such books and novels as a hobby for many years. I'm just stating that it's not to my taste. Also, I think this book is pretty good, but it got so bad that I quit. I wish the author a successful future. - BedwigRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The grammar so far has been pretty good, with very minor mistakes.
The story reads like any other mediocre isekai story. The MC has random encounters that end up benefiting her, such as meeting the Old Master trope, and the Bastard Prince trope.
So far the story has been alright. The MC has the signs of OPness early on-ish. It’s later revealed that the MC has other OP gifts.
There hasn’t been any signs of a lot of pride. She’s like any other isekai MC. She hasn’t shown any more than average pride. It feels like the author forgot about that trait, then remembered later on.
If you want to kill time, I’d say this is a good one to read. - aqaRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Inconsistencies detract from an otherwise good read.
For example MC picked a class that gives her 60 stat points per level. The first stats overview at level 10 doesn't add up at all.
Vampire debuffs while in sunlight are only mentioned at race selection.
Assassins are somehow unable to use the notifications for kill confirmation.
