Description

He's just a rat in a world of immortals. But Harry possesses a dark secret: he canplunderthe traits of any creature, any cultivator, growing stronger by stealing their essence. Yet, his true burden lies in the echoes of a thousand lives he's never lived – dreams filled with impossible horrors that flay his sanity like a raw nerve. The power to steal comes tethered to this madness. And as Harry ascends, the nightmares aren't content to remain in his head. They are seeping out, a slow, insidious change polluting the very fabric of the immortal world. The path to power is twisted, but for Harry, it's a descent into a shared reality where his worst dreams become the world's.

This, is a really great book to me. It's a monster progression, which I really like. The MC is also rat, of all things, so extra points there too. He's a bit silly but in right places, you have to be in such a dark world. His ability is interesting; he has the ability to devour the traits of other animals.
This isn't as broken as one would expect because he has to level up these traits whilst avoiding being devoured by his own power. It's ironic; the devourer also has to avoid being devoured.
I like how smart the MC is because he knows when to run away and when to fight; he mostly runs, but I don't mind, live to fight another day, right? It's smart because you get stronger and come back then it won't be that way.
Grammar wise? I'm not a native English speaker so I won't comment on that but I didn't have any issues reading and it didn't break my immersion so I'll give it a 9.
Story wise? It's peak very peak at least for me anyway might be different for you but that's up to you to decide I like you very much and the title of this review. You might, too.

Not a lot of chapters, just 7 so far but it was very enjoyable. I like the concept: a slowly eroding cultivation world, dark and unforgiving. Nor much of it has been flashed out yet but the few snippets are tantalizing and offer a glance into a dark but rich and well built world, one that Harry has to rise through if he wants to survive.
His power is op, but not broken like most devouring powers. It's also not without fault; it sometimes claws at his sanity even though it's supposed to be 'safe.' The fighting scenes are especially enjoyable, my favorite was the one where he was brutalizing the Rat Kin in chapter 7, hats off to the author for that.
Not going to comment too much on grammar; I'm no native English speaker though that being said I didn't see any glaring issues, it's good enough for a enjoyable read without breaking your immersion.
Give it a try, maybe a follow? Who knows, you might like it!

Not a lot of chapters for now but i felt like giving a review out of the kindness of my heart. I like the concept and the fact that the mc is a rat, of all things. Not a lot of rat mcs on this site, which is quite sad. Anyway, it lives up to its name so far, the world is grim and dark and the mc is indeed struggling but not too much, its just right.

It's not bad, but it's not gripping. The evolutions are interesting but a lot of it feels formulaic, and there's not actually a lot of worldbuilding. It reads like someone reciting a list of facts, with occasional bits of embellishment.
Pass on this, it's not terrible but there are better stories out there.
