- Jane SheddenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book is wonderfully written. the protagonist is written very well. (especially her mental state which was euphoric to read about) The way she handles problems is also well written it makes her seem intelligent but still human.
The way she defeated the first big antagonist had me surprised and laughing.
All in all a good read, give it a chance! - JortlessRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Loving this story so far. Superhero and supervillain stories are always my jam, and finding one that feels grounded and not "full of itself" is rare and this story has pulled off both without a hitch. Master Controller has a very entertaining story so far and looking forward to where the story goes from here. :)
- hopefullfoolRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you, like me, was starved by an antihero story where the protagonist was neither a psycho nor secretly a good guy, but a person that make good or bad decisions, you should definitely read it.
This is one of the best super-villain characterizations on the site. The protagonist's mind is a chief-kiss, my only wish is that we could see more of the side-characters, even these unrelated to the protagonist.
The story is good with a nice pace, the revelation came with good timings, there wasn't much unnecessary exposition, and the world building is very intriguing and sometimes spooky, can't wait for more. (I'm of an opinion that things don't need explanation if it can't come naturally, and this was a good balance)
The style is easy to get used to if a little different, the intermissions are good (even if some [looking at the wizard guy] could use an extra polish in the video-like ambience), there could be more interludes, I love to see other characters reactions to what is happening.
There were no glaring grammar mistakes that bothered me while reading it, it was an easy read.
All in all, it is an 'underrated' story, that absolutely deserve more views. - ranaltorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like this book it makes me think a little because of what's happening in the book and what the main character went through I'm not really good with words or saying how good a book is but I'm just saying this is a good book the writing is good and you should give it a try
- TheEarlofBronzeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Possessive Behavior is a solid novel. So far it hasn't done anything that hasn't been done before, but the story it's telling is solid with an MC who is certainly less quirky then your usual RR fare, but no worse off for it, anyone who wants a break from the standard 12-16 age range should definitely consider checking this out.
The world is engaging with some interesting nuances, and the MC mental powers are done well and keep things quite engaging. The writing is straightforward, but competent, painting scenes and interactions well, even with some of the more abstract powers and scenes.
I look forward to more, even if the pace is relatively slow.
