  This story is unique in that rather than a Marie Sue or self insert that does everything right, you follow a washed up trainer who had all of his dreams crushed and gets roped into watching some kid starting his own journey.
  The characters carry the story with the MC's pessimistic and disillusioned self contrasting with the typical Pokémon themes.
  The battles have been pretty short and simple so far, so you may be disappointed if you wanted cool battle scenes.
