- NavarreRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you want a story with a realist MC, go for it ! In this story, there isn't the usual omnipresence of ego and face-value, which so nice. And the fact that all characters are able to change their opinions and POV is something for me in a cultivation review. The first 5 chapters aren't the most exciting but they do a good job creating a background for Shen Bao and a good foundation for the plot.
- amil1lionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel needs to get more attention. I was looking for a poison cultivator novel and lucked into this one. It doesn't come across too much as a book about a poison cultivator, but it was better than I expected. It avoids a lot of the typical tropes and I thought it was very well written. The entire thing is not here but I did just get fully caught up. I think this book far above most of its peers and should get more attention than it has.
- H@desRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I think it was a good book, there were some minor grammar and spelling errors, but those don't really matter, you can understand the story fine. The characters were pretty well developed, and it was a nice mishmash of cultivation and reincarnation. I would have liked less being given everything by the book, but other than that little complaint, it was a good book.
- tyes77Royal Road★★★★ 4.0I like the novel but much of the MC actions and directions are not dictated by him. So much of his journey he is just following what the book tells him to go. Like he doesn't really have his own choice in the matter but instead seems to follow his system. That's why it brings it down for me because I like MC who decides what to do instead of being spoonfed by a system. The book for all intents and purposes substitutes for a system. Really disappointing since I was hoping for something different. Overall a good novel despite my minor gripe.
- MysticPBRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5For being another creation by the maker of Undead Legion, yeah it's on the same level, at least for the most part. I need to read the other creations by this guy, because this is really amazing for a cultivator story.
I just really dont like chapter 70, that came way out of left field. - KapmanRoyal Road★★ 2.0So when I started reading this it was decent. But huge issues revealed themselves pretty early into the story. First one was, I struggle to believe a man who’s spent 60 years in this new world focusing on building wealth for elixirs to fix his meridians, would have no knowledge on cultivation. You would think a smart resourceful persons second focus would be learning as much as possible about cultivating. So for him to have done absolutely no research in all that time is ridiculous to me. Second, a man who is mentally 100+ years old using slang like hella is the fastest way to break immersion and almost makes a person immediately want to drop a story. Imo that should be removed. It's not really funny and it almost ruins the flow. I think it’s an interesting story but those things are a deal breaker to me.
