I like this story quite a bit, and you will probably enjoy it too.
Style: This is where I'll have to put the lowest ranking. The story doesn't have a good level of detail in its writing. But aside from that, it is very easy to read and works well, so I have little complaints here.
Story: The story is pretty good. It's a mixture of coming of age, political intrigue, and knightly elements. Its pacing is good as well, and it progresses in a good way. It gives time for all the characters that showed up so far, while also building up future arcs. The story itself is about an aristocrat who wants to be a knight rather than a scholar, despite having talent at the latter. It is quite interesting, and I like the conflicts the MC has with the other characters.
Grammar: I couldn't find any spelling errors. Any errors that exist are likely few and far between and certainly not distracting.
Character: The characters are pretty good. So far, they aren't fully developed, but that's to be expected at only 10k words in. They are interesting, likeable, and make sense in universe. So, I think they are fine.

In Phasematter: A Sci-Fi Superpowers Adventure, the author delivers a gripping, high-octane epic that blends cinematic action with intricate political intrigue. This isn’t just another story about gifted fighters—it’s a sweeping tale of loyalty, ambition, and the quiet, dangerous weight of legacy. From the very first chapter, the world hums with tension, energy, and purpose, making it nearly impossible to set the book down.
What truly sets Phasematter apart is its worldbuilding. The crimson skies of the Twins, the storm-lit presence of Haven, and the iron-wrought halls of House Drakk create a setting that feels both vivid and lived-in. The Bond-link system and Phasematter combat aren’t just flashy abilities—they shape the politics, relationships, and fates of the characters. It’s a rich, layered universe that will resonate with fans of Dune, Stormlight Archive, and Red Rising.
The characters stand out with remarkable clarity. Fahon’s uncertain rise, Crin’s cold calculation, Vivana’s fierce discipline, Arik’s charm, and Rorik’s deadly edge—all bring the story to life in ways that feel human, complex, and unforgettable. Every choice ripples outward, driving the plot toward inevitable clashes of loyalty and power.
With tight pacing, clear prose, and battles that feel both brutal and elegant, this book strikes the perfect balance for epic-fantasy and sci-fi readers alike. If you love high-stakes storytelling, smart superpower systems, and layered intrigue, Phasematter: A Sci-Fi Superpowers Adventure is one you won’t want to miss.
