Path of the Lost: Spirit's Domain

Jasper Edwards is a retired Marine Veteran with PTSD who is having a hard time adjusting to being a civilian. Having spent 3 years captured by insurgents, he came back to find that he was written off as dead and that everyone, including his wife, had moved on. Stuck in a nihilistic and drunken slump, Jasper couldn't find any meaning for what had happened to him. Then pillars fell from the sky and plunged the world into chaos.

Now, Jasper must deal with monsters, magical cards called Soul Tablets, and the continued burden of his past. He also has to deal with the annoying cat that is constantly attracting ghosts and spirits to him. Jasper doesn't want to be a hero, that part of him is dead and buried. But to protect his friends, wife, and daughter, he's going to need to hit the floor running and learn how this new world functions.
