- CyrisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This so far has been an amazing story about a chinese wuxia type cultivator that in a world of peace brought upon by his master searches for worthy challenges so he might one day give his master a real fight, ends up isekaid in a western adventure type world and tries to bring good sense and justice to all while searching for ways to get stronger. Looking forward to more!
- sally5217758Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel creates a world brimming with fantasy and martial arts flavors. The plot is rich in twists and turns, the settings are innovative and distinct, and the characters are vividly portrayed. Although it has some shortcomings, it is still an engaging and excellent work.
Regarding the plot, it commences with Yunjin's tragic life story. His parents were brutally slain by cultists. In the context of the Blood Era, the seeds of hatred and growth were planted. After being taken in by the Sword Saint, he made continuous progress in martial arts but got trapped in the situation of being unable to surpass his master. This bottleneck sets the stage for the subsequent development of the story. The appearance of the mysterious system is like a glimmer of hope, shattering his original world and drawing him into the adventure of the multiverse. The battles with goblins are extremely exciting and filled with a tense and thrilling atmosphere, keeping readers highly engaged and eager to discover his destiny in this unfamiliar world.
In terms of the settings, the novel combines martial arts and fantasy elements such as qi, mana, magic circuits, and elemental affinities, adding multiple layers of depth to the story. Notably, the system store setting offers a diverse range of career, skill, and item options. It not only aids the protagonist's growth but also arouses readers' anticipation for the protagonist's development path, stimulating their imagination and enabling them to immerse themselves in this unique world framework.
When it comes to character shape,Yunjin's unyielding and adventurous spirit is vividly depicted. Facing powerful foes and unknown hardships, he never flinches and constantly actively seeks breakthroughs. His unwavering pursuit of martial arts is truly inspiring. The character of the Sword Saint Long Ao is also relatively well-rounded. His care and instruction for Yunjin, as well as his battles against cult experts as a defender of justice, all exhibit his c - ChefFrodeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story of a man being a master in his own realm, now moving to a larger one to start over, is a popular one. A successfull story requires getting a lot of details just right, so we readers get captivated and want to read just one more chapter to see what happens next.
So far it looks great, I have run through the first 30 chapters in short order and am definitely waiting for more. - SchachMattRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really like the story so far. The first chapters have captivated me. The chapters are well written and the editing is good, which makes reading the story very easy.
I also appreciate the positive outlook of the story. The MC had a rough start in the prologue with whats happened to him, but the author doesn't dwell on it for too long and is not developing this story into some deep psycho/trauma MC without emotion story. Whether or not it's realistic that the MC has such a positive outlook on live after all that happened to him,... well it's fiction.
The positive vibe makes it very agreeable and I enjoy the read. I was also surprised by some choices the MC did once thee system was introduced. Although unexpected, these choices made the MC even more likeable, since I feel that he is down to earth and losing himself in power.
For the future I hope there will be some light romance, but that's just my personal preference.
The concept of a being summoned to different worlds in order to complete challenges is interesting as well. At the time I am writing this review there is not much information on the system itself, so I will see how it goes. I am not sure if the system is really sentient or not. I hope it's not, but we will see...
I am looking forward to how things will go.
To summarise: This read is definitely worth your time. - SolairRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Wow. Just wow. Xianxia is something i have tried my best to stay away from for the most part but here, all i can think is that i'm glad i gave it a try. In general, this story has so much to offer. A unique system with interesting mechanics. No stats is a curious, but welcome choice. I think that the buying classes and items and skills with points you get from completing quests is cool. I'm wondering can you have multiple classes? are there more options? Do you have to unlock them, or do they get replaced every so often like shops in games?
I think the only thing i have to say about style/grammar (not sure which it falls under) is that they use BOLD A lot in places which i feel Italics would be better suited. sometimes just feels random. Other than that i have no qualms. Grammar is perfect (I think, don't quote me on that) The style of writing suits my tastes perfectly and the story so far is just mwah i love it! That face that her wasn't quite the strongest is a nice change, it's not like the MC just got bored cause he was too strong, but instead he is trying to get even more powerful. I am very curious at how the MC might be able to get back to his original world since the system said he could. Maybe it was lying? idk.
Anyway, definitely read this i beg you! You will not regret it! You are missing out if you don't. - Daniel EmilRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Good story with great potential. It's still early days, mostly establishing the characters and the world immediately around them, so I'm looking forward to how the world, magic, qi and the characters are fleshed out.
So far the story has been engaging and fun but I personally feel that it could benefit from more detail in regards to the underlying mechanics that govern magic and qi, as in how are spells woven together, why does qi heal faster, when MC uses qi to move faster is he reinforcing his bones and muscles to make them stronger or is he using qi like fuel to improve performance, etc.
