I lile the introduction it grasped your attention really well.
I personally love transmigration/isekai/reincarnation stories and this book is actually original. No sign of truck-kun or overworking to death so already off to a good start.
Its has a great premise, start, and (my favourite) magic. So Im here for the ride. Mr kowalski take us on an adventure.

Allow me to begin by saying that this story is slow. However, it is not slow in a tedious or boring way; rather, it is slow in a methodical and calculated way.
The chapters I've read of this story contain some of the most phenomenal writing I've seen on this website, and I truly mean that. The amount of rich detail poured into every scene, the depth with which the author describes not only the actions, but the thoughts and feelings of the characters, and furthermore the level of imagery used to portray the world and appearances of the characters are all nothing short of masterful. The degree to which the author cares for literature and setting the scene are plain to see, without being too complex to the point of being hard to read. In fact, each sentence flows easily into the next, making long chapters fly by in a flash.
This ability to go from sentence to sentence, as I have just described, is a must for this story, because as I have previously stated, this story is incredibly slow. The first chapter consists of a character waking up from being reincarnated, and then fighting a man. The second chapter consists of the main character fighting a goblin, and then getting dressed. Only in the third chapter do we begin to see any amount of hinting towards the direction the story will take, and even by the end of the fifth chapter there is no indicator of any inclination towards a greater plot beyond the main character attempting to recover their lost memories.
Despite all of this, I can say definitively that I came away from the chapters I read thoroughly enjoying my time spent reading. I loved the diction and imagery used by the author, and how their dedication to the craft of writing truly made the story leap off of the page.
If you enjoy reading slow-burn fantasy, or if you find yourself looking for a world to get lost in, this is most certainly the book for you.

C rating from me. Short chapters, story dragged out a bit too much - not as bad as some (cough Londener to Lord cough). Many misspellings, grammar errors, etc. - not as many as some others, but a few really jarring ones. Prose is a bit boring; I found myself skimming a lot. Characterization and world are still very shallow even at Chapter 25. I also find several of the characters annoying. I have read worse books for longer (cough Dungeon Diver cough), but I try not to do that anymore. Not a bad story, but not great. I'm done. YMMV.

As of 9/6/24, the first five chapters of Paragon Raging read like the first draft of an enthusiastic first-time writer eager to share their story. While this enthusiasm is commendable, and I know I've been in those shoes before, the work feels unpolished, and the author would benefit from taking time to refine the pacing, character development, and the flow of the narrative. That said, there are glimpses of potential, especially with an intriguing premise and moments of tension that are effective. The story comes across as a "trapped-in-a-video-game" narrative, which, if fleshed out, could be quite engaging. However, the disorienting structure and jarring elements in both the prose and dialogue hold it back.
    Style (2/5):
The first-person stream-of-consciousness style works well in some scenes, immersing the reader in the protagonist’s immediate thoughts and sensations. However, the disjointed descriptions and chaotic presentation make the narrative difficult to follow. For example, the opening sequence with the protagonist burning alive feels overly repetitive, with too many mentions of the pain and disorientation without advancing the plot. The use of ALL CAPS to emphasize certain lines from the initial villain is distracting rather than impactful. Additionally, some phrases—like “GRANT ME WITH YOUR STRENGTH” and “shoe-equipped foot”—come across as awkward or clunky, interrupting the immersion in key moments.
    Story (3/5):
The story has potential, especially with the apparent “trapped-in-a-video-game” or alternate-reality premise, but it struggles with clarity and focus in its current form. The opening is confusing and disorienting, leaving the reader without enough context to understand what is happening. While some disorientation is likely intentional to reflect the protagonist’s confusion, it hinders the reader’s ability to connect with the narrative. The pacing is inconsistent, and key plot points feel underdeveloped. For instance, the protagonist's sudden shift

The way this is written is extremely unwieldy to read. The text doesn't flow properly and the vocabulary which is used is inconsistent and sometimes out of place.
Short of having advanced brain damage AND plot armor, the main character is written in a completely unbelievable manner, even accounting for his partial amnesia and extreme situation he finds himself in. He is not a person but an amalgamation of things an author would think a person COULD say.
There are no typos, which sadly is already something pretty praiseworthy on this site. I hipe thus author doesn't get discouraged and keeps on trying. This is a good start, but they still have a ways to go
