Outrage of the Ancients (LitRPG Apocalypse)
Community Rating
Description
They say the king will return during his country’s greatest hour of need. They never say what happens when they all do.
All of humanity received the same warning, about seven magical challenges that it will have to survive or go extinct, but modern man must not face this threat alone. Arthur Pendragon emerges from beneath Glastonbury Tor, Francis Drake fulfills his ancient oath to serve his nation beyond death, and in Ulaanbaatar, Genghis Khan rules once again.
However, there are others still, throwing an already chaotic world further out of whack. Can humanity stabilize itself and continue on when even the very world itself seems to have turned against them, only having ancient legends to rely on?

- HaysterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0a fun concept, and its already interesting
ancient heroes rise from the past to battle an apocalyptic future. It cuts a mix of between mythology and the more modern concepts from apocalypse redux. at this point I'm mostly disapounited it didn't start off with more chapters.
Though I was expecting more problems to show up - Sparkledragon04Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I liked this book a lot, it had a very interesting premise that was executed well and a cast of really interesting characters. I liked the main character especially, I’m a sucker for a smart MC which this one definitely was, and his relationships with the other characters were really interesting to see develop. Can’t wait for more! 😁
- HaveRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Overall, great story. Plot is great so far and I love the mc and his sister.
However, despite clearly writing about how this is a humanity versus existantial threat story, this book seems awfully limited to well...Germany, UK, Mongolia. Like this mostly focuses on these 3, which makes me wonder what happened to the other continents. I love that the mc is a diplomat, yet he lacks some basic knowledge?
Mc is clueless about how american timezones work. Also, I feel if the concept of ancient isnt properly defined. If King arthur~460AD and golem of prague~1500AD are ancients, then whats stopping other notable people from other places than europe becoming ancients?
All in all, great story, but held back by limited scope that reduces the score
