Legend speaks that a roaring force of insatiable abyss lies beneath the peaceful overworld. Named the Rift after its chasm-like entrances, this unexplored void has consumed the underneath for eons. What had seemed just a myth crawled out of unreality in the form of eldritch creatures.
Reborn as a half-blood, mankind rejected the boy and hunted him down. Now, forced into the depths of the Rift, he had to live in a world run by monsters as a newborn. Surviving, however, wasn't his only difficulty as he soon had to decide whether he would save the people who banished him or simply idle as the Rift engulfed all life.
Here are a couple of things to expect:
Lots of action and exploration!
Diverse and refreshing creatures; There are good and evil.
Satisfying progression and coming of age.
There are litRPG elements, but it's not a determinant factor. The fights are decided through one's combat skill and experience and not stat-checking.
There is some gore, but the story isn't centered around it, nor is there profanity.
There are images :O

- JEPayneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The author has mentioned that he is quite new to writing, and it shows in this story... in a good way! He's doing and trying things that I haven't seen done before. You, the reader, have probably seen dozens of isekai protags starting at level 1 and clumsily figuring out their powers, but have you seen one as a literal baby? Probably not (although I can think of one instance but still, not common!). And if you have seen a baby isekai protag, have you ever seen said baby isekai protag plot the murder of two full grown men by constructing an improvised punji trap? I can garauntee you haven't. This story has a lot of familiar elements, but the author is also shaking things up in a great way.
Style - Overall, the style is good! Descriptions are vivid, and the author does a good job establishing scenes. Quite a bit of passive voice, but this will likely change as the author gains experience writing.
Story - This is a good one! The protagonist bucks the norm by originally being a god in his previous life before waking up as a baby in the new world. The overrarching plot is slowly being revealed, but there's plenty here to hint at world shaking events to come.
Grammar - Generally good, as I mentioned before there's some passive voice where it should probably be active, and a few typos scattered here and there, but nothing that detracts from the enjoyment of the story.
Character - Good! The MC is a bit of a one man show in the early stages, but he's entertaining and mysterious, and engages the reader to keep going. The additional characters, when present, were effectively constructed to fill their role, and I'm looking forward to meeting more as the story continues! - Purple LifeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is set in a fantasy world where there exists a mysterious abyss called the rifts where many different kind of creatures exist (some cute and well... some scary). The protagonist is someone who was rejected by everyone around him and thus, he has to survive in the rift while fighting different monsters.
There is also the thing about him- 'choosing to save the humanity or not' which intrigued me a lot.
Grammar-
For me the grammar is a perfect 5, yes there are some minor mistakes here and there but I think that much is not anything disastrous.
Style-
I liked the writing style of the author very much, it is smooth and consistent throughout its course, also the way our protagonist and his thoughs have been portrayed until now is fabulous.
Writing a story in a first-person perspective could be unimaginably easy and tough at the same time. Writing in first-person allows you to easily convey the information that you wish to convey to the readers on one hand, but on the other, you also have to make sure that whatever findings or conclusions that you convey to your readers mustn't feel unnatural or forced to them.
And the author did a great job in making sure that none of it seemed forced or unnatural for the most part.
I also liked the absolutely beautiful pictures that have been inserted in the chapters, they helped me a lot in visualizing the story.
The best thing about the author's writing style, or to be precise, about the author is that he always heeds to the reader's advice and doesn't hestitate to accept and correct any mistakes he might have made in the chapters.
Story-
The story is intriguing, to say the very least.
The concept of 'rift' is very close to a dungeon or a labyrinth if I were to compare it to any of the famous tropes of other fantasy novels.
The world building is great and the story has been very engaging until now. The main character trying his best to learn how to crawl, how to walk, how to use mana, how to get out of the 'barkers' pit', and - Rookie12Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This review is based on the 14 chapters and the prologue that were available at the time.
You know how in many stories about reincarnation, MC is already an adult person? How about a story where the MC starts as an infant? This is exactly this kind of story, and the MC is not in a cozy and warm place but rather left alone and abandoned due to the plot. The mind of a grown-up being was locked in the frail body of an infant.
The potential is here, the idea of following the MC through his road to adulthood and seeing him like he briefly appears in the prologue is great. This is a litRPG, so the story also has systems for obtaining new skills and abilities. This system is not yet fully explained, but this fits well with the flow of the story, the MC is still just a growing up kid with no reliable mentors to teach him about it. It may or may not be revealed in the future.
The story has a secondary MC, and we have a few chapters from her point of view. For now, I can't in good conscience say what role she will play in the story since she has yet to meet the MC.
The worldbuilding is solid. Lore aside, strange animals and insects who possess various abilities actually use them for their own benefit, giving the impression that some sort of eco-system actually exists in this world.
The style is quite nice, quite often mid-chapter, we are treated with illustrations of the surroundings that help visualize the setting. Plus, the author takes feedback from the readers, leaving polls in some chapters.
All in all, great. There are some minor grammatical problems, but overall, I do not regret spending time reading this story and actually quite liked the characters and the setting. - a.c.rockatanskyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I have to say that overall, I'm impressed by this story. Reincarnation of a deity isn't an unknown start to an epic adventure, but the way the MC is consciously experiencing his infancy is fascinating and quite unusual. Because of this, he has plenty of unique struggles and the writer does a good job at pacing his development, although I think there are places where we could feel what must be his personal frustrations / emotional response to his situation a little more-- his personality appears to be that of a fully formed adult, so I'd expect much more frustrated internal dialogue.
The world is very interesting, with barkers and monsters and a whole lotta potential for interesting paths for the MC. I look forward to learning more about the class system and how it works as it's a big mysterious at the moment, but clearly laid out. I liked the inclusion of imagery, too!
The author clearly has a lot of natural talent-- they mentioned just starting to write, and given that I'm extremely impressed. There are a few issues with tense (using present v past) at times, but overall the flow is good and the grammar makes sense. I particularly appreciate the author's sense of pacing and exposition. I feel neither overwhelmed nor too confused. Very impressive!
All in all, a really great start to what should be a very interesting story. I'll look forward to reading more! - The Grand CharismoRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0What a refreshing read! A fun, adventurous, slow-growth of action and character that coalesces in an enjoyable litrpg!
Let's begin the review:
Synopsis
+Switch "According to rumors" to "Legend speaks that..." and the hook works much better in my opinion
+The Rift is a great concept and an excellent introduction to your world!
+Given the choice to save mankind or let it be destroyed, an interesting premise!
Story
+First person perspective? A wonderful surprise, kudos!
+The story begins right in the action, excellent.
-The author and I are guilty of the same thing: too many commas. Some sentences could do with a comma-trimming
-I'm not sure if it was humorous or confusing, but a baby having advanced human thoughts was sure a trip! Babies of course wouldn't be capable of such thoughts or much movement at all, but this is no normal baby! Still, it's a bit humorous and at times a little head-scratching, but works.
+My confusion gone as our main character is nabbed by these bounty hunters! Even though their description isn't lengthy, there is so much depth and character in the short descriptions. Great job!
+Acid dogs are the best home protection
+I see that this is an author who, like myself, enjoys a good description of gore and violence :)
+The pictures in the chapters are a nice touch!
-Dialogue and some quotation tags could use some work, but I wouldn't stress about it, these things will improve with experience!
+The action scenes are tense! This can be hard for writers to pull off, but the author did it!
+The buildup of skills works really well. At first it's just learning to crawl or walk, then Kyrios is gaining really cool abilities!
Crowrush described themself as a new writer. I honestly find this hard to believe, as Crowrush shows an exemplary beginning to writing! This was a fun and enjoyable story that I will definitely be following. Crowrush has skill, and while there is room for improvement (dialogue, grammar, some stiff narration at time), these are things
