Vikings in space!!

Eirik was not your typical spacer. or your general terran.

Eirik clung to the old ways. In a time of interstellar travel through FTL tech, contact with multiple alien species and untold galaxies to explore, he clung to the ways of the old nordic gods. raised on Terra in the Scandinavian region, by a large family that worshipped the old nordic gods while tending to the family farm, his wanderlust and want for exploration got the better of him and drew him away from the planet as an independent spacer. cargo hauling, a bit of piracy when funds were low and repairs needed, transport of passengers or prisoners, mercenary jobs, whatever kind of work showed up, he took it willingly. the universe was his sea and his spaceship his longboat.

join our anti--hero in his jourmeys through life in a galaxy with mixed feelings about terrans, especially terrans like Eirik.

I want to thankAsvilokafor the wonderful cover art.

A good story about a free space caption following in the footsteps of the Vikings. Starting wars and finishing fights. I binged my way through to chapter 115 in 2 days. My only complaint is that at the time I am writing this there are only 115 chapters.
I thoroughly recommend picking it up to any one who has a day to spare.

This is a well thought out Saga. I've enjoyed the story and character development so much I have recommended it to several friends. I believe the author has a future writing if/when they are given a chance. I would ask for longer chapters, as waiting is not my strong suit. Then again, I read 75 chapters in a day.

I have found my new favorite story in this tale. I am thankful to you for creating a story I can get lost in. At first the large amount of typos and missing words was off putting, but as the story advanced those things have all but vanished. As a suggestion, a beta reader would be a good idea so as to catch any missing words or typos and if that means more time between uploads then I would not be angry or annoyed plus it would allow for longer chapters and more detailed descriptions of locations.
I wish you good growth and long life

This story is well thought out slow paced sci-fi novel taht explores human interactions with aliens. It is akin to something you might find on HFY where the humans showcase that they're badasses. I have only read up to chapter 16 and I still have not gotten far into the plot, but everything so far seems very organized. The characters are all very compelling and the dialogue bewteen the characters is very natural, and what you might expect when different alien races interact with each other. I like how the sotry spends time developing the uniquess of the different aliens. Grammar is very good, and I didn't find any errors. There were a couple of points where I felt like some of the sentences were akwardly written but they were few and far between. If you like Sci-fi this is a story for you.
I alos liked how the author wrote his action scenes which felt very fast paced, and had weight to them. They back and forth dialogue made it seem like the aliens had a code of honor they followed. I hope the author continues this story and I am excited to see what comes in the future.

Awesome story with an author that is dedicated. Their style is still developing but it is developing quickly and in a great direction! The spelling errors pop up but don't typically detract from the experience.  The story is ramping up and it looks like it will be an awesome adventure! Definitely worth the read!

Overall, this is a story involving Space, Drama, a Slice of Life for the in-between, and actions that come when needed. With that being the case I do not need to complain about the story, too much, as I enjoyed it.
Style - The style is nothing special. Most stories are written like this one. The story is written in the 3ed PoV and it's the good kind. With multiple PoVs, the reader's attention is shifted where it needs to be. The good thing is that it was done nicely, so there is little disorientation when reading. But even that is fixed in the later chapters.
Grammar - Here is the main downside of the story. The story has no editor or proofreader, from what I know, therefore it is up to the author to correctly write and edit. Both of those things take time and sometimes it's better to just continue writing with the momentum that you picked up than go back and correct anything. On the plus side, the grammar isn't that bad. There are no big mistakes, and the greatest mistakes are early on when paragraphs are not correctly set up. So the dialog is a bit clunky, still, even that begins to wane by the 10th chapter and gets better after that. If the author gets fixes those or somebody does it for them, I will gladly shift my score to 4.5 stars.
Story - Now this here is the bread and butter of the story. The early part of the story is mainly set around our Viking space raider MC and the events that involve him and his faith. All the other characters only add to his breadth and depth as the story develops. The best part, at least for me, is the Slice of Life added with the addition of the little alien to the crew. With the humans being the center of the story for the needed epicness, it is with the alien's perception that the background and worldbuilding are set, all while we enjoy a good story.
Character - This too deserves a full score from me. Early on there are distinctions between characters and their characteristics. That only grows as the chapters continue and more b

A unique mix of sci-fi and adventure, Old Terran Soul straddles the line admirably, giving you spaceships and aliens as well as angry Scandanavians with battleaxes.
Style - The story is fast paced, giving the reader plenty of insight into the actions taken by the characters. Little bits of backstory added into casual dialouge advance the readers understanding of the world, without drowning you in lore and historical accuracies.
Story - Follow Eirik and his Pack as they take their battles into space. After being arrested for fabricated crimes, Eirik quickly breaks loose and vows emnity to his captors, while still treating his captives kindly. Explore this setting with Las'Tai as she settles in amongst the crew.
Character - With a strong focus on a robust cast of characters, Old Terran Soul does a good job of keeping the story entertaining without bogging down the plot with too large of a focus on just the MC. While Eirik is still center stage, all of the characters are given a chance to shine.
Grammar - Sadly the one main issue this story struggles with is it's grammar. While the later chapters recover quickly, the first 10 chapters are so are a slog of poor punctuation as well as completely missing words. Thankfully as the story progresses, the issues are quickly remedied, so if you're someone who values grammar, just know the beginning quickly improves.
Overall, I'd recommend this story to any sci-fi lovers, especially those who want the humans (Terrans) in their story to actually showcase what makes humans great.
