Description
Thanks for your support! OD is now officially on hiatus. I have so much plans for this series and I don't want to further ruin it. Instead, I'll continue to hone my writing by creating multiple stories before returning to OD.
Arriving in a new world, Ash woke up drifting over places with wonders and magic. But he's fate has turned for the worse when he discovered he was no longer a human.
The only positive thing that happened to him was the existence of his mysterious interface and a true friend who's hiding something.
Now that he's in a new world, what is the next step?
Should he just live and die? Or strive for something better and rise?
There's always a reason why something came to be—this world, this time and this life.
Ash will find the answers as he will be pit against powerful individuals, secret organizations and fellow otherworlders.
This is the hidden chronicle of The Origin.

- AmeryFallsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The writing flows nicely, the characters are intriguing, there is a lot of interesting background information that hasn't been disclosed yet but is hinted at, and the author is involved with their audience. It is rare for me to become so engrossed in stories with little content, but this is absolutely something I want to keep up with.
However, Otherworldly Demons is, like Layeadrite mentions after the synopsis, submerged with a lot of Slice of Life, so if that's not typically your thing, I still have to recommend giving this story a shot. - JibooshiiiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Being thrown into a new world like work especially after graduating, I could feel the deep sense of loss with the main character throughout the narrative. Although it's slightly unnerving knowing that now you're alone, it's also exciting to think you are now free from the brain washing of today's society. Having a fresh perspective like Ash helped me in a few ways to adapt in my new environment. So I understand a little when he wanted to run away at first from the life of pethood. Typically, these stories begin with a protagonist who is in a new environment and instantly knows what they want but doesn't know how to get it. But in this one, the MC couldn't think of keeping up his original identity because of the memory thing, which is unique in this setting.
The plot's development is great. There are no over-the-top action sequences, and godlike characters emerge in the beginning to pump us up before leaving and reappearing later in the plot. The progression is good, since it matches the MC's speed as he tries to make sense of his current situation.
There are some parts where I find it difficult to understand, but it didn't bother me as I got the feel of the narrative as a whole. I could also see the author's effort to improve along with the new chapters, so it's a plus in my book.
So far, each one is unique, as only a few are being introduced. It's great because, unlike others, the author didn't drown me with names that I wouldn't care about. All of them have flaws, and the story is still a few chapters in, but the main character, especially, was already showing signs of wanting to improve.
Overall, great start! - PrimaMatriRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is easy to read, with some words I need to Google, but not to the point that I wouldn't understand the context. So far, the author hasn't given any info dump yet, which will make me want to stop reading.
It has huge potential! Ash wanted to have a human body again, but it would be hard given his new identity. Although he has his interface or system, he still has more challenges to overcome. I could feel that this would reach over 1,000 chapters in the future if given enough time and support. I know it! The author will improve and eventually develop his own writing style and maybe his own forte.
The narrative is easy to understand, and I can't see any mistakes that would affect the reading experience. He listens to his readers. I read something in the comments that the author changed the way he placed punctuation marks, and it became better!
The characters are very well written and depicted in a way that doesn't clash with those NPC's like those in other novels. Each has their own aspirations and goals that are subtle at first, but when you think deeper, they are suited to their current circumstances.
I recommend reading this! You should try it! - SecretSagesRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The beginning feels like I'm dreaming which I think what the author was going for. It made most parts of the first chapter feel surreal in a good way.
The overall fall of it is great! Being slowly introduced into a new world, not overflooding with infodump is a plus in my book.
Just don't die. Ash be strong! Arf-arf!
