On the Other Side of Fate's Shackles

Description
Waking up after the accident, I found myself in a world where everything familiar to me was gone: blue sky, sun, green grass, and so on. Instead, there was an endlessly gray sky, black sand everywhere, and a forest of dead trees stronger than any rock. My body was as black as coal and covered in wounds... All of this made me think that I had entered another world, where I had become an unattractive undead. I would have laughed if there had been a god, a princess, or a great entity next to me. However, looking around, I saw no one. I was alone in this dead world. I also noticed that saying the magical word "System" caused me excruciating pain. But this was my chance to fulfill my desires. I wanted to become a necromancer, and what I found lying in the sand would help me achieve that.

- blitflame01Royal Road★★★ 2.5A word of advice to future authors. Don't let the first thing you have your readers read be "sigh. So boring."....I legit read that laughed and said yep not for me. I will be giving it 2 and a half stars after skimming it. Grammer is good. Story has potential enough to where I would genuinely consider reading after a well thought out rewrite. I feel much of the characters nature is ment to be comedic but the person writing has a poor understanding of comedy. I feel the writer should focus more on a solemn concept with a build up towards general insanity from being alone in a wasteland. It would make for a more enticing novel.
So my two cents...has potential...needs a re-write. - SanctifiedSeraphRoyal Road★ 0.5So the only thing that's good about this book is the grammar, at least in my lustrous lack of interest in reading the first and only chapter I care to read. There didn't seem to be any misspellings which is nice, but for the rest of this review will be an admittingly bias dislike for the book.
The lack of interest for for the main character is seemingly obvious, he live and dies with in barely a paragraph, then isakied. More on the character, he's extremely annoying, he's says everything that's obvious and is happening in front of him, example: he finds a weapon then goes, "oh look a weapon." He wines about everything, (while that could be the whole point of the character, I'm not interested enough to keep reading and find out.) the character also swears, while that may not be a big deal, the word f@gg0t is not something a lot of people want read. (Again the whole point of the character could be he just is an asshole, but I don't care enough to find out.)
now is this probably unfair review? Yes. Could it get better? Yes. But the main character comes of as some edgy lonely ass and the writing comes of as so disinterested that I can't help to feel so disinterested.
