Description

The Omniplex—the key to ruling the universe. But who will unravel it first?

Ciro Adams just wants to disappear. Drowning in the monotony of corporate life, he thought he’d buried his past for good, not that he could even remember it. But when the aliens come, the past doesn’t matter. Only survival does.

Abducted. Injected. Thrown into a cosmic bloodsport. The Omniplex serum in his veins promises godlike power, but survival means outlasting a gauntlet of killers, monsters, and worse. Beamed across galaxies to entertain billions, Ciro has no choice but to fight. But the real battle isn’t just against his enemies, it’s against the thing inside him.

A hunger for violence. A whisper of chaos. A demon clawing for control.

As the games push him to his limits, Ciro must do more than survive, he must unravel the truth, not just behind this twisted spectacle, but behind himself. Because every fight drags him closer to a terrifying revelation:

The more he kills, the more he becomes who he was always meant to be.

Unlocked and Loaded. Ciro will make them regret waking up the side of him he kept hidden away.

    Overall: 5/5
Mac does an amazing job of taking a science fiction death game story and writing characters that you’ll come to care about. Knowing that this is a death game means that any of the side characters can die at any point, which adds to the stakes of the story as no one is safe.
    Character: 5/5
The characters remain very true to themselves, with Ciro, the main character, filling the role of the more gentle of participants in the death game. That’s not to say that Ciro doesn’t kill his share of enemies, but the crafty man uses his wits to get out of dangerous situations rather than resorting to a “violence first” option.
I initially thought Carina was the MC, but she fills the role of primary antagonist very well and by the end of the first chapter it becomes clear that she is going to be the primary thorn in Ciro’s side.
    Grammar: 5/5
There was nothing that pulled me out of the story, so if there are any grammar mistakes, they weren’t major enough for me to notice while I was enjoying the story.
    Story: 5/5
The story isn’t your “meta” trope of “MC gets ridiculous powers and trounces everything”. Ciro struggles in the story and things aren’t just handed to him. I enjoyed following a character who has bad luck at times and isn’t the foremost fighter in a group.
    Style: 5/5
One of the freedoms with third-person perspective is that you can follow side characters for a little while to showcase what is happening around the main character. Mac utilizes this well throughout the story, giving us glimpses of Ciro from the perspective of other beings. The descriptions are rich and the combat is detailed, painting a great picture of how the story is unfolding.

Imma cut to the chase, sweet and short, like the author(one of those is a lie).
The book is good, and what's really important for most, it has a huge room to develop. Mac created an open ended universe, with extreme variables, versatility, and I hate to admit it, a high degree of unique takes and approaches for both the reality, characters, monsters and the system itself.
The expansive universe is good for people yearning for lot's of details, little tidbits, and convoluted cosmic relations, but do not be discouraged, people wanting a sci-fi pew pew actions, it's full of that and more.
The characters are fun, specially one with the snake tattoo, better than the MC that one. But for real, they are a rag tag menagerie of distinctly diffrent characters, with personalities that stick.
The action? Well, it's good, to be honest, I am positivly suprised by his action vision so far, it's dynamic, not overly burdened by detail and has that hype factor we want, with the added weight of brutality/finality that gives it that extra spice.
I never was and never will be a fan of multiple points of view, but here at least, thanks to how the characters are so distinctly diffrent, it's not as confusing as it could be, dare I even call it clear and concrete.
Lastly, just read it, you found it craving Sci-Fi, or system, or adventure, and it has all of it in spades and more. It's a binge read type of book so don't cry while waiting for the new chapter and don't blame me when the anticipation becomes unbearable.
    Have a nice read y'all.

I'm reading mostly brutal gritty with a lot of grunge novels and this one striked everything to the point.
The beginning takes a special twist around an usual trope we see in light novels and completely breaks it, i found it really original.
it's a mix between fantasy AND science-fiction i'd say? The world building is on point since everything makes sense and i haven't found anything that's not explained or that doesn't makes sense.
The cliffhangers are killing me tho, i'll get you back someday.
At this point, i expect this one to become one of the best written novel i've read on this website. Keep going m.a.c !

Hooked Already – A Promising Start!
As someone who doesn’t read often anymore, I’m surprised that I am already pretty hooked on the whole OMNIPLEX idea. The pacing, and interesting characters paired with aspects of mystery and suspense make me eager to keep reading can't wait to see where it goes.
I’m still early on but keep it UP!
I may not be a massive RoyalRoad reader but if you're looking for a fresh new Royal Road sci-fi LitRPG with great potential, give this one a go.
Highly recommended for fans of other LitRPGs who like a bit of sci-fi violence.
I genuinely think Omniplex is looking like it will become a standout story on RoyalRoad.

The novel perfectly delivers exactly what it promises - dark vibes and progression.
I’m not a fan of spoiling anything in reviews, so I’ll keep this as vague as possible, but if I accidentally let something slip...
From the very first chapter, I was pulled in - I love when it starts with action and tension. And within just that one chapter, I felt the plot twist at least three times. That alone is a huge win for me.
The setting and worldbuilding aren’t just interesting - they’re expertly crafted. Normally, I’m not into space or science-fantasy themes, but somehow this one just works. It’s immersive, unique, and not too overwhelming.
Then there are the characters… yet another pleasant surprise. I love when authors write characters with internal conflict - like when the MC thinks they want one thing, but deep down, they actually want something else, and we as readers are rooting for them to realize it. (Give me kudos for being this vague, please xD)
As for grammar, I’m not someone who usually picks at that, but I can say confidently there’s nothing immersion-breaking or distracting. The writing flows.
This novel deserves more readers. Just give it a shot and you won’t regret it!
