  overall impressions - The story is beautifully written, sometimes poetic. The author does a good job of explaining even the tiniest details to allow the reader to be fully immersed. The story involves a squad of soldiers and their leader Chreich, whose daughter has been captured by a mysterious monster. there is a prophecy and what I beleive to be the hero of the story is introduced. Overall the author is building a very detailed world with many characters that are well described.
  Style - very much a familiar story type. The author however does an amazing job of drawing the reader in with his very descriptive writing style. Almost to the point of being over descriptive and bogged down. However, if you stick with it past the first few chapters you will start to see some payoff as you finally start to get to the meat and excitement of the story.
  Grammar - Definitely needs some work. Spelling isn't an issue but punctuation is. I am no expert with punctuation so for me to notice means it definitely needs some work. However, if you read for the story, it won't be an issue. None of us are perfect, and very few here are professionals, so we should all be understanding.
  The story is a very slow burn. after 3 chapters i was starting to wonder when it would start to pick up. I received the payoff in chapter 4 and 5. Stick with it, it is worth it! I am now left waiting for chapter 6 to see if the newly introduced hero is actually the hero. I will say that the author does a fantastic job of building scenes and creating detailed explanations.
  Character score - there are several characters introduced in the first 5 chapters. there is enough back story to get a decent grasp of who the characters are, but outside of Creich, you don't get a good understanding of what their motivation is. i would like to emphasize that there are only 5 chapters at the time of my review so this could change in the upcoming chapters.
