- SilverdawnRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Best and most accurate way I can put it. Story's intriguing, the prose is flowy and easy to digest, it puts you straight into a system apocalypse situation that you can understand and doesn't waste a bunch of time on exposition, and the story's generally pretty fun to read and easily digestible! Main Character doesn't feel cringe, seems there's a fair bit of lore and thought that's gone into this whole system that should start to become more apparent in its use through the course of the story, I'm here for it!
In conclusion, worth checking out for sure! - vmerlingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I haven't started reading it yet, but definitely planning to. I like deckbuilding litrpg and this one sounds like I will enjoy it.
I'm writing a review to ask the writer to add numbers to each chapter's title as it is helpfull to many readers.
Good luck and thank you. - wingmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is truly captivating, with an intriguing plot that keeps you hooked from the very beginning. What's impressive is how the prose flows so effortlessly, making it easy to follow and digest without being bogged down by too much exposition.
The author does an excellent job of immersing you into a post-apocalyptic world (can it be called that I am not sure) that is governed by a well-crafted system. It's refreshing to see that the author hasn't relied on endless descriptions of the world-building, but instead lets the story unfold naturally, providing you with just enough information to understand the situation.
The main character is not cringe-worthy, which can be a real deal-breaker for many readers. Instead, the character is relatable and grounded with a hint of overpowerness but not too much to stream roll everything, making it easy for you to connect and empathize with them.
There is also a fair amount of lore and thought that has gone into creating this system, which adds depth and complexity to the story. As you progress through the story, you'll start to uncover more details about the system, which will keep you invested and eager to learn more.
Overall, this story is definitely worth checking out. It's a fun and easily digestible read, with an engaging plot, well-crafted world-building, and relatable characters. So, if you're looking for a great post-apocalyptic adventure, look no further than this story! - ScruffedUpRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story is good, if you just need some affirmation there it is, go read it.
Style:
So far we have your typical 'apocalypse litrpg system' stories, while I have difficulty ranking the 'style' of these simply because a lot of them run by the same rules as a lot of the others, to the point where if you've read four or five its rather difficult to be shocked by anything in the sixth, however I will do my best. I think so far the world building, attaining to our characters are least, has been decent. The story has the feeling of weak-strong MC even when we haven't really seen him when he was weak, hell the first few chapters are him beating up his old bully or whatever right after he transports back in time. I do have one complaint, however, that stops me from outright giving it a 5 star just out of principle;
I think the chapters are too short.
A lot of the chapters are really short, to the point where quite a few of them are only around 2k words. While this may be personal preference and as such doesn't really affect my scoring of the book, I still would like to put my opinion down that 3k words are the bare minimum. anything less than 2k words honestly feels too short, and when you are breezing through chapters it can feel kinda irritating when you read a chapter and it barely has enough content in it to progress the plot a step, or even half a step.
Either way, chapter size is a personal complaint and isn't really all that important in the grand scheme of things. 4/5
Story:
The story, like I said in style, follows the rather common 'litrpg apocalypse system' genre. You have someone, they survived decently long the first run around, then came back to the start to right fuck someones shit up. Its a bit cliche, but cliches exist for a reason, they are entertaining. The story has a decent bit of a revenge kick in the beginning, robbing your old enemy and then beating them up a bit for good measure, then immediately transfers into the action. It doesn't play around hol
