Description

I am not currently publishing this Novel anywhere. Not on Amazon or any other similar website. If you see this Novel being reposted or resold somewhere, please DM me immediately with a link to the problematic entity. Thank you! THIS NOVEL IS ASUPER SLOW BURN; DON'T EXPECT CRAZY ACTION SCENES OFTEN FOR THE FIRST 100+ CHAPTERS AS I SET UP THE WORLD AND THE MC'S PLACE IN IT! Everyone who is anyone is obsessed with Neon Dragons - the latest highly immersive cyberpunk aRPG from Sparksoft. But as fate would have it, the PC of our late-twenties main character broke, mere days before the game's release. All she could do was to console herself by watching a copious amount of content creators play through the game she had always dreamt of. Limiting her own knowledge to the parts of the world she sees in the respective playthroughs, is her way of keeping the mystery surrounding the world alive. Wiki-dives are her late-night pleasure - naturally only about things that were already covered or appeared in the new episodes of whatever playthrough she was watching. Things change drastically, however, as one day she wakes up inside the body of a 15-year old girl inside the city of Neo Avalis, 6 years into the game's past. It feels like a dream come true - she can finally experience the neon-lit streets and mixture of high tech and grime she's only seen in videos! Plus, Seraphine, as she quickly learns is the name of the body she now inhabits, has an extra thing to be happy about - she can level herself just like a character in the game! With everything she has read and watched about Neon Dragons, it should be no problem to make herself the perfect person to solve the mystery of the enigmatic Wall at the (seeming) edge of the play-area on her own! But she quickly realizes that she cannot just sit and grind out her skills while the world is on pause - this game is very real and life in a cyberpunk future is full of danger and intrigue whether you are looking for it or not. Not only does she need to fit into her new strange family and understand how her abilities work, but also her world seems to have some differences from the game she saw played - differences that are rapidly revealing themselves to be bigger than she had anticipated... Current release times: Daily at 8pm CET until January 1st 2024. Then Mondays and Thursdays at 8pm CET. Before you start reading this story, please be aware that this will not be a short one. Much like my other novel,The Allbright System, this one is designed to last for a LONG time. I prefer long, expansive stories that span thousands of pages, in order to fully tell the story I intend to tell. Our main character doesn't even leave the initial apartment until around 10+ chapters in or so, so if you are looking for a quick and short read, thisstory will not be for you! A major inspiration for this Webnovel is Seras' "Ghost in the City: Cyberpunk Gamer SI", which is massively recommened by me! It is a fantastically written delve into the universe of Cyberpunk2077 and makes you truly feel like you are a part of the world. Further inspirations (more minor in scope, mostly regarding the litRPG, System elements and Worldbuilding itself) include, but aren't limited to in no particular Order: "Cyber Dreams" by PlumParrot,"Cities without Numbers" the TTRPG System, "Shadowrun" the TTRPG System, Cyberpunk2020 the TTRPG System Highly recommend you check them all out, if you're enjoying this story!

I've been reading this one since it was on rising stars, and just realised I hadn't given it any stars yet, so just paying overdue rent for a story that I'm always excited to see new chapters of. Doing an advanced review instead of just dropping stars as interest for the late payment. In terms of a review, if the above isn't enough of a recommendation for someone reading this, it's basically the bisexual on the Shadowrun to Cyberpunk spectrum. Same corpocratic setting, less magical than shadowrun but more fantastical than cyberpunk. Solid main character who even now hasn't fallen into the grey haze of OP self inserts, and instead keeps the grit without going full grimdark.Damn advanced reviews are greedy for word count, 200 words minimum? Ok, so if I could have any superpower, I'd probably be boring and pick perfect cellular regeneration to be a kind of biological immortal, if that's not an option I'll take lichdom or whatever other kind of immortality I can get my sweaty little mortal hands on. For a less boring pick though, teleportation would be amazing but I'd get so fat it isn't funny. So I'm not allowed teleportation. Can I have magic? If I can I'll take magic, so I can make a phylactery and circle back to my lichdom idea. Other than that, Xania style cultivation, but that's just immortality with an extra 99 steps.Oh that was enough words a couple sentences ago, yeah worth a read. :)

The story hits the nail on the head when it comes to the cyberpunk genre. The prose is good. The characters are all distinct and interesting. The MC's build is fun. Basically, it's a dang good story. As far as cons go, my only real complaint is how long the progression choice segments are, but that's just personal preference. I imagine others enjoy that aspect.
Overall a great, gritty read with cute sections and dynamic action. Thanks for putting in the time to write this one Author!

I've read the story a bit further through being here before the patron release. And form what I have seen it is an extremely well crafted cyberpunk world. And the main character feels 'real-life how an actual person would in their situation. They way the MC has to learn an adapt to a world unknown to them that works way different is tackled better than I have seen in most cases.

It's a great premise coming from great inspirations. It has clear roots in some other stories, but is distinct and feels like it can go just as far or further than some of us inspirations.
The first several chapters have some slower sections, but that's true of many stories. It really starts picking up speed and getting exciting fairly early, so stick with it. I look forward to reading more!
Little or no grammatical or spelling issues. Great characterization.
The game aspects feel great with the setting and story. I'm looking forward to getting into the gamier cyberpunk themes and ideas.

Oopsies. Got home from my date with husband and binged it on my day off and now I have no more day left, only night. Woe is me upon this Valentine's day. Oh well, so worth it. This one and Ghost in the city are so good its criminal there aren't more of both.
Gabe better not be too damaged or ill find a way to hurt fictional characters grr. Im so obviously brilliant at reviews. I do at somepoint wanna see 'Ela' from an (enemy(?)) operative's POV on an op, I think. That would be dope asf just the horror at what she is capable of now.

No complaints so far, has been interesting and engaging. Reviewed after reading as far as chapter 7. Mc has appropriate challenges for what would otherwise be an OP magic finger.   Character depth  is good and the system has consistent logic.Enjoyed the story so far and I am looking forward to more.

So, what happens when you take a shut in and drop them into a cyberpunk world based on a game they haven't played, just know from playthrough vids and wiki pages, without warning, well, you get Neon Dragons. This fun, slow burner of a tale explores the life of Sera as she experiences life in a cyberpunk world. There is a lot of discovery as she finds her place in the harsh realities of her new life and struggles for every point of improvement in her daily bid for survival.
Overall: (5 🌟) This story surprised me in how engaging it is. I typically do not like slice of life stories, however this tale of the day to day struggle of the MC has been riveting. The world is huge and complex, with characters with real depth living their lives independent of the MC. Each point of stats is a major milestone with tangible value. Truly an engaging read.
Style: (4 🌟) This is a slow burning story. The story flows well with world building and stat explanation woven in smoothly, and only rarely bogging the story down with minutia. Speaking of stats, since this is a LitRPG, the numbers have real, tangible value. No numbers or skills feel arbitrary and have real influence on the story and even influence interactions with side characters in interesting ways not always intended by the MC. Descriptions of scenes, events, and emotions of the characters are detailed without feeling like they interrupt the flow of the story generally, but instead draw the reader in, leaving vivid tapestry for the mind to dwell in. There are a few occasions where the story gets excessively verbose, in the beginning especially, however the details are very well thought out. The comment section often has added details provided by the author and are often worth reading.
Story: (4.5 🌟)  The story itself is surprisingly complex with many major world events happening in the background that while impacting to the MC, do not dominate the life of a 15 year old girl initially stuck in a wheelchair. As her strength grow
