Description
The Plistura continent, cloaked in an illusory veneer of tranquility among its six sovereign kingdoms, belies a tumultuous past. Millennia ago, a cataclysmic conflagration, the Hexagon War, threatened to extinguish the very essence of humanity, high elves, and dwarves. As the conflict raged, a divine intervention occurred. For the first time, the gods chose a mortal, a human prophet, and bestowed upon him a sacred scepter. Empowered by this divine artifact, the prophet was tasked with rekindling faith and spreading the word of the gods, ultimately quelling the war.
In the aftermath of the conflict, the prophet established a set of immutable laws to safeguard the continent from future devastation. Paramount among these edicts was the elevation of the Reldret kingdom. Its king, a guardian of inter-kingdom harmony, was charged with the delicate task of maintaining equilibrium among the six kingdoms. As a result, Reldret became a beacon of peace, a sanctuary untainted by any vile acts that may plague the rest of Plistura, but not Reldret.
Yet, the Hexagon War was not the only conflict to scar the cosmos. Even before the divine creation of Plistura, a celestial war raged between the benevolent gods, wielders of divine energy, and the malevolent demons, servants of the insidious dark energy. At the heart of this cosmic struggle stood the Scarlet Lord, the most formidable demon to ever exist.
After a cataclysmic battle, the gods emerged victorious, but their triumph was pyrrhic. Unable to annihilate the demonic threat entirely, they imprisoned the most powerful demons within a secluded realm. The lesser demons, however, escaped their celestial prison and descended upon Plistura. As a result, the denizens of Plistura—humans, high elves, and dwarves—developed an enduring hatred for all things demonic, including dark elves. These creatures of darkness, associated with the malevolent forces that had nearly destroyed the cosmos, were often met with ostracism, persecution, and even outright extermination.
Despite the turbulent past, peace now prevails across Plistura. The six kingdoms, though divided by cultural and political differences, coexist under the watchful eye of the Reldret monarchy. The king of Reldret, a position determined by the divine scepter, wields absolute authority over inter-kingdom affairs. For centuries, the scepter has infallibly selected the most worthy individual to ascend the throne.
However, a sinister twist of fate has shattered this idyllic harmony. In a shocking turn of events, the scepter has chosen an unlikely heir: a demonic hybrid young girl. This revelation has sent shockwaves through the high priests of Reldret's holy church, threatening to unravel the delicate balance of power and plunge Plistura into a new era of darkness.
Simultaneously, in a remote village in kingdom Vidin, a grizzled monster hunter named Jaxith is haunted by a cryptic dream. A vision of the same young girl, a demonic hybrid, ignites a relentless pursuit that will intertwine his fate with hers. Little does he know, this innocent girl, Irene, is at the center of a sinister plot that threatens to unravel the very fabric of Plistura.
As Jaxith delves deeper into the mystery, an unlikely bond forms between the hardened hunter and the naive hybrid. Together, they must navigate a treacherous world filled with shadowy figures and deadly intent. Their journey will test the limits of their courage and compassion, as they confront a darkness that seeks to consume Irene and reveal Jaxith's hideous bloody past.
Welcome to a tale of redemption, not through heroic deeds or divine intervention, but through the unlikely alliance of a monster hunter and a demon hybrid.

- Aschente1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is so great that I can't put it down, the novel is very well written with a great choice of vocabulary that fits the theme of the novel, the story is very great although its slow pace you can't put it down because each chapter has a very rich content with different scenes and character that you want to know more about that keeps your hype up every chapter, the world building is so great and well done seeing it from the synopsis, The lore seems massive that must have taken you hours to make a lore like that, something that I also notice is that although the main events occur in vidin you sometimes keep us informed about the other kingdoms, the characters are so great you can feel that every character has its very own personality, role and goals, the main character just from the first fight alone is Goated although his fearsome look he's respected by the others, I loves how his bond with Irene begins to escalate gradually and Irene this poor kid is very lucky to find someone like him doing everything he can to protect her, little by little we begin to understand the characters more and more.
- Cut_throatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is one of the best novels I have ever read, this novel have a very special and creative sense in it, it's style, world building, lore, characters design and the plot are all great.
Now I have read it before so there will be some spoilers so be wary.
First of all the style, the novel has a unique style that fits perfectly with the novel content, the chapters can be separated into different scenes
For example the second chapter it starts with Lord Blamore in his castle receiving a message about Zathar's vision and telling his men about it then the scene changes to Jaxith nightmare (vision) about Irene then he wakes up in lumina village .
This make the chapter content rich and you'll never get bored of it .
Now to the world building, the world building is massive this novel have six different kingdoms each kingdom has its own unique features, the kingdoms are Reldret, Vidin, Kozalesk, Leginica, Yarnat and Volgast.
The first book most likely happens in vidin, but that doesn't mean the other kingdoms are thrown away they are mentioned and some events may occur in different kingdoms to be notified of what is going on, there's even an entire arc that most of it is a huge battle between the elves of Yarnat and demons.
The lore is huge, one of the best features that this novel offers, you can see it from the synopsis that the Lore is huge and by the time the novel uncover more of its secrets.
The characters are great all of them, you can see it in the dialogues each character has it own personality but the main character is in a whole another level, Jaxith is just so perfect, although he's kind to Irene when you see him in battle you won't believe that he's the same guy, in battle he's ruthless, cunning and adaptive
I mean it literally he broke a manticore's jaw with his bare hands, he even may bury someone alive or cut their limbs just to get some information from them never showing any kind of sympathy to them.
The plot although it may appears simple at first bu - MagmarionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The novel is very well made, it has many interesting aspects it has one of the most immersive and astonishing themes I ever read.
The writing style is high quality fits the theme of this novel very well , the chapters are divided into different scenes but that didn't bother me even if sometimes I don't understand some stuff I am sure that the author will explain it in later chapters one by one this serve the plot more and more.
I liked the story very much at first it may seems like a simple story at first but in fact things is more complicated than that ,the story isn't just about Jaxith protecting Irene, the enemy is unknown to them they need to be careful about every step they take , the lore is interesting the introduction of the hexagon war makes you want to know more about this world, I am sure a world like that also has a great potential for different stories and characters.
The characters although the story is focused only on Jaxith and Irene I haven't seen any bad characters introduced poorly, like Zathar, Adam from the second chapter , Leonora and scaldris from the sixth chapter and officer Ronald, for now I will talk about Jaxith and Irene, Jaxith is a badass monster hunter who doesn't hesitate in a fight, although he doesn't seem that powerful he's surely hiding something great in him, his fighting style depends on his speed and Intellect he's not the type that rushes in the battle he takes his time to see the tiniest weakness of his enemy and he makes sure that he'll use it, also there's something interesting I noticed about him his appearance is menacing and he makes use of it very well especially his red eyes they are just for show he uses them to frighten his opponents, although his furiousity he appears to show a soft side towards Irene, he saved her several times he also started to teach her several things, Irene however is that arrogant and volatile child she loses her temper quickly but also she's innocent from the inside, also she doesn't like th - TomradixRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've just finished reading the novel, and I mesmerized by its contents.
First of all dark fantasy is my favourite genre, the theme of this novel just makes don't want to let it go, The style is wonderful fits perfectly with the dark theme, The strong language reflects perfectly the greatness of the characters(except Irene she's a total Idiot 😂), the more I delve deeper in the novel the more I feel how special it is, the world building is huge, I mean who don't want to read a novel about six kingdoms used to be in conflict too many years in the past this makes you want to know more about this war and how it began and how it ends, that what makes it special you want to know more, the characters are very good and great, although the novel most likely in it's introduction arc the characters here are very well made, Jaxith deserves more attention, he's very well made Main character, he's very good at dealing hard situations and he's a brute that's all what I am going to say after seeing fighting in the last chapter (The corrupted manticore), Meanwhile Irene she's like the cherry of this novel, well not really her tongue have seen better days with all that dirt coming out from her mouth💀, yet she's kind hearted, the relationship between her and Jaxith is very nice, the way that Jaxith tries to show her the ropes and tries to make her safe is the most wonderful thing in Thier relationship.
The novel is awesome and I can't wait to see more from you keep up the good work and I really mean it.
