- DMnewearth2100Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far I have read up to the current chapter 19 and as it seems no other reviews are posted I figured I would leave one to entice others to read the story.
I rate it 5/5 as VR stories have always been one of my favorite types to read (OSO, FLFO, and Bucket for examples). I also like simipler types of stories.
Grammer: A simple style and I have not noticed any grammer errors. It is an easy read.
Story: The world building outside of the game is just as interesting as inside the game. I find this hard to achieve in most VR games but so far the writer has been doing a great job. Its a futuristic society that limits people based on achievements in school but there is an underliner hint that its not as simple as that. In most VRs games I read my eyes tend to glaze over in the RL part of this story but I am actually interested to see where it ends up more than the VR part. The VR part so far is not my favorite type of VR as I can not grasp the gaming system (no combat as of yet) and the crafting system (sancturary) is something new.
The VR game is being used to test people. Not sure where this will lead too yet but it has made the story better as most VR novels tend to only focus on money in RL. So many possibly ways the auther can go with this as her world building hints at a few things.
For example: It was mentioned in passing but ships are leaving earth to colonize other planets.
Overall i enjoy the story and hope more people read it. I am bias as VR stories are my favorite but so far its been well done. - BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Don't actually ignore the title this time.
Anyway. This here is clearly a first attempt of sorts. There are quite a few problems when it comes to formatting, grammar, and the style. But, even if the style itself has problems, I still need to mention that it has potential in that regard. Sure, there are more smaller errors than I could reasonably count, but there is still some good promise with this one. I recommend others stay around to see where it goes.
4.5/5 from me. - ValentineNRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Depressing as hell.
I'm not sure how other people see it, but to me it looks like a dystopian utopia where people are psychopatic meat robots. The MC should've been one more, but for some reason is not, and tries really hard to fit in.
I'm curious where it's going and sticking around for the gameLit part, but ... it's depressing.
I mean, the game is named Freedom, but she's actually monitored everywhere, everything she says and does is analyzed and measured so that when she reaches the "proper" age they decide if she'll be an usable cog or a disposable one.
