Description
[A Naruto "OC-SI"Fan Fiction] Make the best of what you have, they said... But what I am supposed to do when the best I have are red-eyed freaks, a child who's supposed to be the jailor of the most dangerous being in the world, a snake creep with serious boundary issues, and a whole world of super soldiers with licences to murder. And you know the best part? None of them like me so much...Oh shut it, old man! Take that Will of Fire and shove it up your—Yeah, this second swing at life isn't panning out...---------------------------------------------------------------What to expect: - Gradual strength progression. Meaningful growth. The MC is a normal guy dumped into the Narutoverse, starts out weak and has to work and struggle for everything he gains. - "Slow" paced. My writing style is a zoomed-in look camera that follows the protagonist. It might seem slow, but I ensure something is always happening to progress the plot forward. - Gritty and often bloody fights and actions scenes with a focus on taijutsu—you'll see individual combat, team fights, and large-scale battle. - A different take on the Narutoverse. The world is full of superhuman mercenaries with liscenes-to-kill—that along with the protagonist's struggles paint the world in a much darker light. - Additions and expansion to the "chakra" power system. I consider myself a conservative when it comes to adapting the power system—and aim to retain the original feel while highlighting the best parts. - The Outsider's Resolve version of Narutoverse uses the [Naruto Manga] as the base—with additions from anime, books, and even Boruto (though very less likely).---------------------------------------------------------------DECLARATION:This story is also present on:FFN, Ao3, SpaceBattles, SufficientVelocity, ScribbleHub, and Webnovel---------------------------------------------------------------DISCORD SERVER:https://discord.gg/w5dJ82SfMr---------------------------------------------------------------DISCLAIMER:I don't own any character other than my OCs.The cover pic was commissioned from Kodah.art on Instagram

- 104104105fviRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I just wanted to say that every now and then, after I read chapters, I want to give the story 5 stars just to regret that I've already done it and can't give it five stars again.
As for the story itself, I'll say in general that its atmosphere is more mature than the original story, and also a little darker.
I was bothered by:
the part where he's a drug dealer and a corrupted cop (He catches the bad guys in a way that helps the other bad guys he works with), but even then he's not a terrible man, and he's kind of pushed there, even though it's still his choice.
I almost left the story because of that, but I'm glad I didn't.
Even though there are morally problematic decisions later on, it's rare and there's always discussion and thought alongside it.
In general, the main character is calculated, clever and Constantly striving to be strong enough to survive the war that will come.
The story is really good and original. - GenelvoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hands down the best Naruto fanfiction. What you get is not the power fantasy harem trip of so many other novels. Here you have a Mc who earns everything they have scrapes and toils for his power and knowledge. Give a great new perspective from what it would be like to be a regular shinobi no special families, no sharigan or byakugun just hard work, sweat, and blood. The Mc is honestly great he goes through lots of character growth to fit into this new world and hopefully thrive. 10 out of 5 stars seriously recommended if you like Naruto.
- AbyssalBrokerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Although the writing can be a bit clunky at times, this feels like a love letter written to the core of the Naruto series while honouring what it could have been as well. An interesting character, a nice slow burn plot (i still need more scenes of Takurisu, I beg you) and the story beats feel natural and well followed. I highly recommend reading it, I was hooked instantly.
- AsmridiusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly, this book so far is amazing. The way it's fleshed out the Naruto world and mad it somewhat realistic, something you don't see much in fanfics nowadays, is actually really good. The plot and the things that have been added like the Ring are just really fun to read about. And so, overall, 5 stars
- BaamonsterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I rate this story a 5 star because the quality of this story doesn't feel like a fan fic, but its own separate story. It has very minor grammatical mistakes and the main character is very likeable. What's the most impressive to me is that over 300 chapters and the quality of the story hasn't stalled or gone down. 10/10 read if you like Naruto and slow-burn with steady progression. I dream of having the skills to write a story of this quality one day.
- AdadorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really like it! I like the slow but solid MC power progression and the world building. It's fun to see this alternate take on Naruto. It's grittier than OG Naruto, but I always thought Naruto was best when it was gritty. I also like that being a Chunin is actually an accomplishment, rather than just a stepping stone to something else.
- BrunopioRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I never completely watched Naruto, the anime, I didn’t really like the MC, he was just meh, which should be kind of a must, but I’m liking a lot this main character. Takuma is really fun, he’s diligent and always has a plan. He’s not a doormat either, thank you author. Doormat MCs are the worst. I don’t know what else to say, I’m loving this story, I binge read it in five days and I highly recommend it.
- FictionalMindRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I’ve been reading this story for a while and I love the way it’s set up! The world building and the character development is awesome! I don’t think there is anything the author can do to make it better! Yakima’s growth as a person is so well thought out and feels so genuine I can’t wait for more chapters!
- GRIMARYHILLSRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Oh my God, I am writing this after seeing the reviews. The book is magnificent, such a realistic portrayal of true transmigration in Naruto world. The story is really captivating with good world building and fantastic character development. The characters are not 2D, they have their own interests and life.Teh mc is unique, he has only read the manga of Naruto and doesn’t possess much knowledge about the world other than the basic outline which makes it more original than anything. He only starts making use of the storyline in the later chapters to his advantage. This is slow burn book, I prefer this to people who read upto chapter 150, to read this as if you start reading, you will never stop. At the first 20 - 40 chapters, we see a mc who doesn’t want to accept reality and too weak to even fight academy students and is too emotional and paranoid but after 120 - 140, we see the character change, the mc is a flexible, adaptable and capable person who can now fight his peers, even the best of their batch on a equal scale. He becomes more mature, learns more ninjutsu and gains insight about his talent in genjutsu. He is not a good person like Naruto at the same time he is not pure evil like Fang Yuan, he is what we can call a realistic person. He does what he have to do to survive, win and thrive. He fights in underground rings, sells drugs, destroys his supplier’s associates who helped him when he was lacking money to gain fame when he was a police officer, he tricks and manipulates people to his advantage. The mc is not op either, the mc is what you call best of sweat and hard work. He never gained anything, everything was his hard work and determination. He was nothing at first, he built his himself up. This has real relationships and politics. He becomes op as he becomes stronger and stronger enough as he is trains. He is grinder and hustler who earns the name kraken. He is not totally cold and ruthless or sigma, he uses what he seems right but is cautious during the t
- HeraldedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like this fic. It hasn't fallen into annoying tropes and delivers on what it’s promised. Takuma does not act like a college-aged person all the time but I think that’s more subjective. Looking forward to more chapters and there are a lot so far to keep me entertained. All in all, a good fanfiction I recommend to anyone with or without familiarity of the verse.
