- Nyx KatalixiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A great start so far! This story's most appealing part to me is it uniqueness. The cultivation method seems wholly new to me and the general ideas presented about it so far have me eagerly wanting more and more chapters. I've read many stories with a highly intelligent MC and this is one as well, however they way our MC gets said intelligence well I must say that is a first. All in all give it a go read what's here I bet you will enjoy it as I am. Additional stars for the cover art wow!
- aqaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story starts out great. The MC is likable enough. The pacing of the story is generally good. And there is a good balance between conversations and action.
The story does a fairly good attempt at making characters feel as part of fantasy setting (as opposed to many stories using modern day western sensibilities and language). A large part is the formal conversation style used in many conversations. It does fail now and then, but the attempt is appreciated.
The most disappointing part of the story is that it’s left hanging at a point where nothing is really resolved yet. So it’s a big cliffhanger, unsure if it’s ever continued. - LsshinRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I truly enjoy this take on cultivation, it feels supremely original. It is fun to see a little girl kick ass left and right and still having a soft spot for her family and proper nobility behavior.
I do feel as if there is no room for character development unless you take her discovering her past memories as such. Which I find hard, but perhaps in the future the author could use her new self fighting back against the behavior of her past life. For now? She is completely becoming who she was and is not even trying to slow that down. Only old behavior she has kept is her love for her family and her nobility mannerism.
Side characters do get their own povs now and then, but they feel super one dimensional. I have no idea why x person behaves the way they do.
This is just how I feel and perhaps my take is mistaken. You can look at my other favorites and reviews to see how our taste in novels differ from one another or how similar they may be. Plz do dm me how you felt about this novel so we can compare notes.
I am unhappy at the slow release ratio, but will continue to read the story until its end.
