Description

On the eve of his birthday, a destitute orphan finds solace in celebrating his lone glimmer of hope and happiness. However, his joy is abruptly shattered by an enigmatic mechanical voice that throws his life into a tumultuous tailspin.

The source and purpose of this pervasive voice remain a mystery, as it triggers a cataclysmic event that transforms the world into a nightmarish apocalypse. Streets once bustling with life become scenes of chaos as cars collide, spilling their occupants onto the pavement, streets painted with fresh crimson, and establishments erupt in panicked screams.

---"HUMANS OF EARTH! INITIATING EARTH MUTATION PROGRAM!"---

Society's foundations crumble, morality dissolves, and ethical codes erode as humans traverse cities, plains, and seas in search of miracles and survival strategies amidst the relentless chaos.

    Style:
at first it starts out pretty good, maybe a little bit of overuse of 'he said, she said' but good nonetheless. Then after a certain point, they start adding redundant wording, suddenly telling a lot more then showing.
    Grammar:
It's good, no glaring mistakes. just few missing end quotes and odd spacing here and there.
    Story:
Story is promising with a good concept and a really quite good basis. reminds me a bit of the discontinued "Saltworld: An Apocalypse LitRPG." in a good way. Is slightly generic zombie apocalypse so far, but the LitRPG aspects are incorporated decently.
    Characters:
characters started out strong, but after the second one is introduced, everyone suddenly starts acting like robots. Discussing like graduates- when they're only 16, and having synchronistic thoughts. On top of that, they suddenly lose all their flaws in a chapter, without any real event or happening or anything that'd make them start viewing life differently.
    Overall:
this started off strong, but at a certain chapter, it feels like it has been taken over by an AI writer (Ex. character's laughter is now described as "HAHA!" instead of "X laughed at the thought of having to do X") And characters suddenly become aloof plot-drivers rather then characters. I don't think it is truly AI-written, only because past events are remembered and the system stays consistent (something AI generation struggles with) but it sure does feel like it.
