Description

The last great monster of the world lays dying. The weight of the Age of Enlightenment and their Mantle of Duty bearing down on them. Their strength from Death finally hollowing them out over the glut of Life infused into them.

The Singing Mountain has a choice in their final moments, about what they want to have stood for. With the shackles of their Gaes shattering at the end of an Era; do they choose Life and accept Death? Or will they deny their Death and thus the Life of everyone else?

Regardless of their choice, an Eldritch being from Beyond their home is waiting for the World's Ward to finally drop. The sacred beasts empowered and enslaved to protect this world and prepare it for the wider universe have earned a reward. A second chance in the Infinite Realms known commonly as Ample.

This story will follow a hydra making their way in a new world, with powers that adapt and scale but without definite numerical values.

Not the first time I've said I would write, nor technically the first submission to be read by others. But the first project I've maintained to actually publish. Submitting this on the 31st of March with the hope that my own April Fool's Day will make an old-fashioned mockery of my anxiety.

I intend to publish chapters twice a week. Mondays and Thursdays 18:18 GMT.

Currently on HIATUS due to the completion of ACT 1 and the intent to focus on and publish a different fiction.
