Description

You were nothing. A lost soul, a ghost falling endlessly through the void of nonexistence. Now, the mercy - or perhaps the whimsy? - of a being beyond your comprehension has given you the chance to be more. To be a Morrigan, a witch, thewitch, one of the sources from which all magic flows.

You have been thrown into an unfamiliar world with unfamiliar powers. You will survive, thrive, and carve out a name for yourself in the annals of history. You have to.

Your only other choice is death, after all.

Hello dear reader! This is the longest piece of fiction I've ever written, and as such, I decided to post it here to see if anyone is interested in reading it.

To get some bookkeeping out of the way:

This story is heavily inspired by the CYOA "Morrígan" by "DaxínneedofaHost". Many of the place names, race names, ideas for the MC's power set, and so on, are taken from there. That being said, I have heavily modified many of the ideas present in the CYOA, so if you search it out, don't be surprised when things in this story don't play out exactly as the CYOA says they should. Also, while said CYOA is quite NSFW (at least in its images) I have decided that this story will not contain any sexual content (there may be scenes where a character is naked, but that won't be described in any detail). You should, however, expect profanity, blood/gore (in moderation), and (possibly, maybe, if I have the skills to do it well and respectfully) discussion of mature topics.

The first few chapters should come out fairly quickly, as I have already written them and I just need to polish them up. I will try to stick to a consistent schedule, but I'm not going to make a promise I can't keep. Updates may be sporadic and depend entirely on how busy I am, my energy levels, and whether or not something else is occupying my attention at the moment.

The cover image is "Ranni" by CorbinTieken, posted on Newgrounds.com. I found it by looking through google images with the filter "Free to share and use" so I'm like 99% sure its fine to use it here.

Please give me feedback! I love criticism and appreciate even negative comments, as long as they tell me what I'm doing wrong and (ideally) how I can improve. I am genuinely looking to refine my skills and become a better writer.
