One would think that Royal Road is not the right website for romance stories. That romance here cannot thrive and will be forgotten. Well, not this one because More to Love is a story anyone can enjoy. It has action that will keep you on your toes, relationships that will make your heart warm and, of course, our dear protagonist growing stronger.
Style. Writing is easy to follow and wonderfully descriptive of both the character's inner turmoil and the ongoing action. Text is suplemented with most pleasing tables which describe skills and their levels.
Grammar. Polished to perfection. Couldn't find a single error in any of the chapters I read.
Characters. The characters in story are one of the best. While initially they appear to be your typical game tropes, they are actually far from it. Each has their own agenda, their quirks, flaws, strengths and weaknesses. And watching them interact with each other is a joy. Aida's thoughts and actions are particularly great, showing her struggles with adapting into the new world as well as the joy she gets from improving and spending time with her new friends.
Story. It is addictive. There's always a mystery going on that makes you want to keep reading. Whether it be how will Aida's or Sue's relationship will develop or what larger threats loom on the horizon, More to Love always keeps you on your toes. You will certainly not regret reading it.

I've never seen such an amazing display of a surprisingly mature MC, with admittedly pronounced flaws, find a life that could fit her.
Honestly, at first I thought the story was going to be the standard run of the mill shojou bait that I usually consume, which granted was a very low bar, but the characters seem so real and fleshed out. Each person having flaws that made them fail at forming relationships and struggle to understand where and how they want to deal with their lives. The characters are smart and not one dimensional.
Admittedly being in an otome game felt very 'Eldritch horror' to me since it forces people to feel things and do things that they have absolutely no control over. But it somehow merges social and emotional maturity into itself and shows the horror of stagnancy and change. But our MC pushes through and feels out what the world with shaking fingers, one step at a time.
    SPOILER ALERT
The part of the story about the moon maiden going back to her original world after finding comfort for a brief moment parallels the life of Annie in this world. It's terrifying to think that every relationship she's built would shatter if she goes back. How would the people she loved feel if the Aida that they talked and loved suddenly regressed to become the blank slate before she came to be if she ever goes back. And is it even her choice to begin with? What if she suddenly does so in a pivotal moment and the one she loves turns in horror at losing the one person he loved most of all.
The story makes you question the genre as a whole.
It is a story so tender and sweet that the horror of being in such a situation magnifies tenfold.
It is a love story and a horror story mixed into the progression and fear of aging.
Can she stay or was it all just a temporary dream.

Have you ever imagined having superpowers In a dating sim? We I have, and I’m honestly just waiting for the author to add a character with lightning abilities. She would have bound my soul then. Anyway, the synopsis itself is very intriguing, but after reading the chapters currently available on the book, I couldn’t help but write a review.
Style: The prose and style of writing isn’t overly flowery, which makes the story easy to read and follow. World building as we as magic structure is well done and introduced meticulously. The story is detailed and very descriptive which makes it easier to immerse oneself into the whole story.
Grammar: Honestly, I’ve never been too picky about grammar, but I haven’t spotted any problems with this one, so, five stars cause why not?
Story: The story follows the character Annie whole life revolved around helping her parents make ends meet. That meant multiple jobs, no luxuries, no time for social outings, and no time for hobbies, so one day when she wakes up in a magical dating sim, she embraces the new world with enthusiasm. The author has a firm grasp on the direction of the story and has established it with intrigue and action right from the beginning.
Character: The MC, Annie/Aida seems very reserved, intuitive, observant and quite prone to slight bouts of anger(Take that Pritchard), but overall, I’m still learning about her

I read the beginning ten chapters and thought how boring it was, where I was going to drop it. However, I kept going until the 20th chapter and it grew on me.
Specifically the character development in inflection, description and how some of these stories itself hit home personally.
The characters all started as 2D and were quite lackluster, but if you really read the novel and give it the attention it deserves, it will grow on you and make you want more. I promise you you’ll love the novel, just read it!

Most stories of this immediately twist the story.
The villainess is misunderstood, the heroine is a psychotic narcissist, the side characters are one-dimensional angst blobs just waiting for someone to say the magic words.
It ends up making you wonder how the “game” was supposed to work in the first place.
This one doesn’t do that.  It has the characters revolving around the heroine (not the mc) like a dating sim, but in a mostly plausible way.
It comes across as a person actually dumped in a dating sim…with the greatest horror of them all: Awkward teenagers being painfully awkward.

The author has created a solid combination of a tired genre (Otome) with an adventure fantasy.  It works very well.  There are a few places where characters seem to suddenly appear with no explanation of how they got there, and several chapters end abruptly where some sort of transition would make things less jarring.
That being said, character development in general is excellent, with even the secondary characters being solidly developed.  Things move along a bit slowly, but this gives you more time to savor the story and is definitely not a fault.  The author's ability to get into the minds of teens as well as adults is admirable.
Overall this is a story well worth reading, and I'm looking forward to what happens in the future.

First, be aware that the story is no longer being worked on, not in hiatus. I have finished all the chapters available, and was entertained through the run, though ultimately frustrated at the unresolved threads, both relationship and plot.
If you're looking at this for a recommendation, the start is very strong with the introductions and distinct personalities of the main cast, as well as the plot and the pressure it puts our main character under, probably because it's structure and goals are clear before later becoming a bit meandering. I'd recommend experiencing the first arc, see how long your interest holds beyond, and filling in the rest of the blanks with your favourite headcannon, since it will probably be more satisfying. The third book also switches things up in an interesting way, and fleshed some things out that were set up at the very beginning, but part way through that book is also where things end, so depends what your tolerance for unresolved threads is. Apparently there's discussion of how things would have gone on the Discord but the clues I got didn't seem particularly to my tastes unfortunately.
Oh well, enjoy the ride if you give it a go :)

I dropped this at chapter 31-32
The story is alright with fun interactions between characters, but its very much filled with a lot of nothing. It isnt an issue of pacing but more of a sense that the MC is just going through average days.
I can see the viison the author was going for but its brought down by a severe lack of stakes. Things are written like any other litrpg with supposed stakes and deadlines for events but in this fiction there just isnt any weight behind it.
That wasnt much of an issue for me as I tend to enjoy casual fun in stories even for long stretches, but its chapter 31 where things took a turn for the worst in my opinion.
During the MC's fourth fight in the school evaluation there is a massive turning point.
The problem is that this "massive" influence is absolutly non existant, the whole scene that suppposidly caused it was less than 100 words where it mattered, the MC just suddenly goes from compleatly normal to traumatised in 3 lines.
Heres what happend: she was pinned down, slammed into the ground once, had three words shouted at her...
And thats it. Maybe this would have worked under wildly different circumstances but literaly the fight/day before her rib was broken, and she just healed through it and fought on.
2 fights/days before THAT, she was DROWNED. Yet somehow a single threat was what caused her to completly change personality.
I don't know if that was the most shocking thing, or the fact that both a trigger waring before and 60 comments agreeing with how "intense" the treatment was exist.
If i had to guess the author was thinking a bit too much, lending a weight to rather simple passages through imagination or their own traumas rather than actually playing it out un text, something ive fallen victim to too many times before.
But hey, their the one with a successful story, not me.
There was another point just a few chapters later but some other review here says it beter than me pointing out a lack of structure or rules so check that

I guess this is only acceptable, and well rated, because we are talking about a woman but damn. The mc is a 23 years old working woman playing dating sims in a high school setting and getting wet thinking about the guys bodies.
Then she gets isekaid into the game and... yeah, stopped there. Really wonder what would happen if this was an adult guy in a game about seducing high school girls.
