Description
Josef awakens in a bubbling goo-sac only to learn he has 164 hours to live – at least, that’s the longest record for a goo-drinker reborn at the underfunded Ba’ha Grotto outpost. Forced to flee or be instructed towards his death, Josef must learn to live and survive in the strange and wondrous world known as The Lush Heap.
Along the way, he’ll meet a stupendous cast of heroes, quasi-heroes, and nomadic woebegones, each angling to discern the secrets of The Gentle Void. He’ll uncover magical sects and pathways, kingdoms visible and invisible, and the strange powers brought by the conjoined worlds.
For fans of fantasy with a light touch the bizarre and a good helping of world-building.

- BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is pretty basic in how it portrays the world. Not that it's a bad thing at all but just that it's what the average reader will expect from the average fiction on this site. Good stuff.
Anyway. What was important to me that the author chose to include bits that rhymed, very obviously being from a song. That stuff was 'fire' as the kiddies call it nowadays. Pretty sure the author wrote that one anyway.
Style is good. Gramamr good as well. Personalities? Eh. Will develop with time. 5/5 - MrGrimSmileRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far this delievers on its synopsis. Trying to understand everything at first would be a bit of a mistake. Instead just sucking down impressions made it a rewarding challenge of reading. Overall I got a nostalgic impression of oddness I haven't gotten since first playing Abe's Oddworld. Again the work (so far) delievers on what it says it is.
Style is everywhere and almost overshadows the rest of the work. Five of five.
Nothing of the grammar pulled me out of the book. So another five of five
Story for me takes a hit from the overwhelming style and oddness that isn't explained. I get it's a design choice but it does detract espically in the first chapter. Getting straight into the story helps jump start the story but it also compounds the overwhelming. 90%
For me judging characters this early seems premature, but from what I can tell the friendships seem real. Goals and temperments are shown in the right places. Another factor that is overshadowed by the exotic world. 90%
If this sounds interesting I recommend you unscrew your mind and find that focus between reading for details and intuition. After a few chapters see if it clicks for you.
This is going on my following list. - RoberthSliRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First of all, the only complaint I can say is the lack of purpose of the protagonist, so far he was pulled by the forces of fate, but because of the format, it's not really a problem, only when it's put in book format, so would have revealed the book's purpose and theme more quickly than on the road.
Secondly, the style is in my opinion the strongest aspect of the story, with a strange and boundless world ahead to discover, the messy and absurd character of things is not a demerit, 5/5
Grammar, I can't judge after all I'm not a native speaker, and my English isn't very good, but I didn't have any problems reading it, and it's quite pleasant. 5/5
I will take half a star off the character for the lack of a clear objective of the protagonist (so far) Other than that, the characters are unique and distinguishable, with believable character and attitudes. 4.5/5
History, I don't have much to say, the author manages to keep the protagonist on a journey full of twists and obstacles, not forcing situations, but using the random nature of the world to mold young Josef's circumstances and choices, in a believable way. 5/5
