Damn, okay i was not expecting this to hit as hard as it did, it is interesting seeing the conclusion of this movie from a materialistic point of view, as its seems a very logical conclusion if taken from an adult perspective.

This is interesting, and needs a fair amount of changes to the reveal of Monster's Inc to make sense narratively, but such a thing could have been possible. It would be a very dark turn for one, but the story doesn't go to capitalize on the partnership or explain it as a means to ensure the survival of their civilization. The core of the original was about subverting the norm - and the ending is a logical next step where everything is all sunshine and rainbows, but the reality is that this ending would have been a lot more plausible in reality. While it is a bit rough in presentation, the premise is solid.
