For Momo, an anti-social art major perpetually at risk of dropping out, college life wasn't a great fit.

Chosen for her meek and harmless personality, she is able to exist under the radar as she completes the Dawn's necromantic missions. Watch her as she gains confidence (and class levels), and reluctantly rises from meager apprentice to the Queen of the Underworld.

Very rare that an user ad lesds to an actually good story but this gem here was absolutley worth clicking on and reading it. The start is pretty slow and hard to ge through but once the first few carisma point slam in it gets easier and easier to just get lost in the story.
Also, i am european and the mention of 80k student öoans made me go down a rabbot hole so curse you for that you coniving conartist caster.

All Momo ever wanted to do was pet her cat, binge Netflix shows, and finish her art degree; now she's the newest initiate in a necromage cult, but at least her boss is a hot dom necro-mommmy. Plus, she gets cool undead pets.
I'm pretty obsessed with this novel. Villa1ny has done a wonderful job incorporating real worldbuilding with fun comedy and multi-dimensional characters. Though the MC's will and social skills may be weak, their characterization as the POV narrator is strong, giving the story a smooth, pageturning readability that brings you into the world through Momo's eyes.
I really enjoy the story telling style that Villa1ny uses. Momo's lens is strong but (mostly) self aware, and her character is incorporated meaningfully into the progression of the story, driving (though not completely controlling) the plot as we explore Alois and Morgana's Dawn with our timid heroine.
The grammar is also quite good having little to no flaws. This fiction does a great job of Bone Dancing the line of comedy and seriousness, though at least until as far as I've read it stays far closer to the comedy side. That said, it's a wonderful time reading regardless of which genre camp you'd intially dump yourself in.
    Give this one a shot.

TLDR; the style is good, the grammar is good, the story is mostly good, and the characters are mostly great. Definitely give this one a read.
This story is fun in a way that few stories are. The humor makes you smile, the dialogue leaves you impressed, and the prose is fun to read. The best part of this fiction is by far the amazing dialogue. This author really knows how to write it well.
    Take this example:
“Of course they do, superficially,” he laughed, “it’s all necromancers bad this, kill all necromancers that, until you can’t pay for the mortgage on your dwelling, and you need to sell off a few of your relatives' bones.”
It’s just so much fun to read, and little pieces like this are sprinkled all throughout the story.
    Summary:
The story itself is rather simple: a socially awkward, introverted girl is summoned into a necromancer cult, who make her feel validated. She then finds herself being pushed into missions where she has to be social, and grows from it.
    Style:
The style was good, and I did have any problems. The prose reads well, and flows smoothly, and there are no awkward sentences or structures.
    Grammar:
The same goes for the grammar. From what I’ve read so far, it’s been nothing but perfect. Not even a wrong, misplaced, or misspelled word.
    Story:
The story is a little slow, and is mostly focused on Momo’s personal growth, and not so much about progression. Personally, I really enjoy this more than the stories that are nothing but “Fight! Level up! Fight! Level Up! Etc”. This isn’t for everyone, though, so keep that in mind before you start reading.
The only issue I have is with the world itself. It just doesn’t make sense sometimes, and bends to the needs of the story. It gives the story an unreal feeling, like it doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s not too big an issue, though, and something I could easily read past. It doesn’t really take away from the story either, as long as you accept the story isn’t too serious and mostly just fun.

Well, well, well~ where do I begin? Honestly? I went into this expecting a sort of lighthearted necromatic-fueled misadventures with a shy, introverted arts student major. And oooooh boy! I was both right and wrong in all good ways! Should you expect some plot? No, not the 'plot' that's big chests? Well, possibly! But, the actual narrative plot? It's there, it's existing and it's a rollercoaster ride.... of sorts. Good laughs, chuckles and shenanigans but all with a payoff.
Maybe for a reader who isn't used to the utterly comedic, batshit crazy, unknowable substance-fueled world building of "Momo the Ripper", they might find their bridge of willing disbelief rocking hard or crumbling; mind you the first few chapters pretty preps you for what other stuff you may and may not, both in equal spades, expect. Some might even get turned off by this because of precisely that.
Which is the good part of novel itself, amongst the other things like the characters themselves, as you can just sliiiightly turn on the lizard brain in your brain and enjoy the story for all its worth. Should you read it? Definitely! Judge the story for yourselves! You will not be disappointed or disappointed!
As they say, experience it yourself and don't rely on a super bias, super caffiene-fueld, super sleep deprieved, and questionably sane commentary from someone in the internet!

Momo is a good girl, with one or more complexes. However, we follow her along her journey to less complexes and more badassery.
The story might not be for everyone (sometimes a bit light on the detailing side and Momo is propably not everyones cup of bug juice). However! This story is snarky, full of wit, has interesting side characters and internal monologue of Momo that is a skeletal riot.
Style: Somehow in my opinion resembles Terry Prachet, fun and easy to read. NIce flow of words, goes down like undead essence.
Story: Unique, fascinating world and hints of more to come, a fun insight into a world that is locked in battle between the "light" und the... Misunderstood... Dark. There are hints about a bigger conflict to come, but this seems quite far away right now.
Grammar: As a non-native, there was nothing that was glaringly wrong, which is always a good sign.
Charakter: Momo definitely is the main reason this story works as well as it is. She is weird, has a whole lot of complexes and would be delighted to keep it that way if it weren´t for those pesky intelligence points. She really is a loveable dork.
Overall: Do read this! It is fun!

A very fun and interesting sorry to read. Most of the necromancer stories I've read mainly focused on the building of power and the army and I love the more character focused storytelling. The main character is fun and very descriptive, sassy but only in her head, and has dreams of said power, even if she just started out.
Style is awesome, love the little things in the story that make everything feel real. Roadblock after roadblock, but the main character keeps chugging along.
Story is a bit of a slow burn, but still very enjoyable. You learn lore bits early on and it's all colored by which character is explaining it. Also gets right into the story with only a few paragraphs of her previous situation, and a quick acclimation to her surroundings. Very good pacing.
I especially liked the Pity ability, even when the character very much did not like it. XD
Grammar wise it's easy to read and get absorbed in, no noticeable writing flaws as far as I could see. Very well edited in my opintion.
Characters are where the story shines. Lots of insane and cooky ones, even the 'normal' citizens have quirks like shoving a bath onto the newbie necromage. Very fun to see them from her perspective.
    Can't wait to read more!

Like the story so far. Am at chapter 77. The story isn't to be taken seriously, it's more about character development of Momo(Mc). The only thing that is slightly bugging me are the minor sexist hints. Sometimes I have the feeling that this story pulls  a reverse Naruto a.k.a. all males are useless. Furthermore all somewhat competent characters are female.

Humorous social awkwardness, earthly references galore, and a protagonist they all just can't help but be nice to are the text's basic ingredients. The running gag this story is built around—which will either make or break it for you—is as follows:
Comically shy Momo bumbles into a situation, which then promptly resolves itself. She then gets credit and recognition for the resolution, along with further tasks to complete. Repeat.
If all that sounds like your jam, go for it and have fun. And be nice to Momo, she's shy.

This story is incredibly entertaining but it does require a significant increase in the amount of brain cells I dedicate to the Subway Surfers gameplay in my head. Yeah try puzzling that one out mf. It really pains me to use my critical thinking skills for this fiction.  I know that it’s a comedy. I tee-hee-ha-ha as much as the next bozo reading this but consistency is kinda lacking.
To clarify this is a comedy first and foremost and some chapters we are scraping LOL so random xD territory. So things will happen because they are funny more so than following some inner logic. This only reason why this is an issue for me is the fact the tone shifts rapidly from relatively grounded to ‘yeah we got Necromatic Dancers and Human Chair College.’ It’s really jarring going from Momo stumbling through social interactions comedically to
Existence is a game between capital G God and her pet.
Moving on typos are minimal, pacing is quick but coherent, world building is all over the place but there, characters are unique and vibrant. No complaints on a technical level. The only real criticism I’d like to level against Momo the Ripper is that Momo needs a goal more than impress boss or kiss girl.
Don’t get me wrong girl kissing is an ancient and valued tradition here in the burrito household but she needs some agency. It’s a major problem in the earlier chapters where Momo does her best doormat cosplay. I kind of see that it may be going that way with recent chapters. Momo has from clearing persuasion checks with social awkwardness to rizzing up sleepy mommy gif. Got that gay panic rizz. And we’re calling it here see ya.
