I have mixed feelings about the "Earth methods are the best methods" chapters. Not my cup of tea honestly!
Some typos which is normal. Grammar is good, and the pacing is also very good. You get the feeling that there could be an arc about making cheese with the perfect salt crystal ratio, and that would still be interesting. Okay maybe that's just my hope.

I think the author still seems to be finding their voice a bit, but the tone and detail continue to improve (as of chapter 6, which is where I'm at as I wrote this review) and I anticipate that this trend will continue as I progress in the story. Characters are believable and relatable so far, I like the explanation of "the system", descriptions of surroundings are vivid enough to paint a picture in my mind but not bogged down in needless detail, and there appears to be some foreshadowing that all is not as straightforward as it first seems. And all this written on a phone keyboard?! Insane! Keep at it, I look forward to seeing more of the story!
