I really enjoyed Maze. The rewrite does a strong job of fixing the grammar and pacing issues that bothered me in Book 1 of the original version. The characters are well-drawn and memorable, especially with how distinct the races and cultures within the Maze feel. The variety of creatures and the way each room or area has its own flavour helps the world feel alive and worth exploring. The cast isn’t just there to fight monsters; many of them have quirks and personalities that make interactions enjoyable to read.

Story: The Maze is an endless string of Magic rooms with dungeons in it and you can get inside and explore. Which is the motivation and goal of the MC to explore the wondrous MAZE, and yes, not spoilering anything is a problem. Just be ready for a lot of groundwork being laid for later pay offs.
Grammar: He got better compared to the first draft now it is smooth and yes there are still typos but that you will find even in published books.
Character Score: A big critique for the first draft was the character is not developing and it is so slow. Small reality check the draft for the public ended with chapter 1123, so yes just like in real life, change takes time, and when a dungeon is a few chapters, that seems slow. But for the character, it was just 3 or 4 hours. How much character development did you have in the last quarterly meeting?
So, overall, do you enjoy meeting strange monsters, weird fantasy folk, follow an Explorer through a dungeon that has a wacky quest task? Are you enjoying trying to find your jaw on the floor because of the view around the bend? Then this story is for you if you expect fast combat encounters after combat encounter this story is not for you! So read it and enjoy Hera´s Journey through the Maze!

I read almost all the way through the original Maze. Not sure why I didn't finish it before, but I am liking the changes in this new version so far. I love the idea of the Maze and how each room has it's own story. I am encouraged that I possibly already know what's going to happen but also that the author has learned a lot since the original and is making a better version of an already great story.

I will be completely transparent. I am a transplanted reader from the original version and a long time supporter of this author.
If you are a new reader. Welcome. This is one of the first litrpgs Ive read and originally one of the longest written ones on this platform. So why did I support the author on this rewrite and the creation of an edited definite edition? Because I believe in his man’s ability to publish this series and find the success he worked so hard for and deserves. Peri is a guy who worked for years for (in all honesty) a pittance compared to other authors who wrote as much as he did (or even less). Ive long believed this rewrite and streaming of the first book will be what he needed to get the story the popularity it deserves.
The MAZE is a long, sprawling story that crossed well over 1100 chapters. Trust Peri that he will push through this rewrite and give you guys a fully edited and new MAZE.

I read the original version of this and boy let me tell you the author has come a long way. Love that this is being given the care it deserves.
Hera is a character that is easy to relate to and the pace of the story is excellent. If you like dungeons and a more mature slice of life, you should give this story a read.

I love this story so much and it's great how Hera is more active and has more of a plan this time. The original suffers from a slow pace sometimes but for me the character writing and incredibly sick powers and fights carried it. The new one cleans up the pacing a whoooole lot and the grammar is also much better, although it still has some stumbles. Good luck Perizou!

I have been reading the maze for several years.
The system, the dungeon and the society that live in the ENDLESS MAZE all feel unique and mysterious.
So much of the Maze is unknown but for those that listen, the Maze love to share piece of it secret. The best reward come from discovering, walking new path or treading on the mystery of extinct civilization but sometime the reward is more then one would dare touch, for curse and malediction exist.
We follow Hera a new explorer that dream of adventure whom without luck, bureaucracy would deny her dream. It is a story of character growth, of introspection and sometime self doubt, where friend help each other, even if it could spell all of their death, never leaving anyone in their little group behind.

A very slow burn weak to something story.
I haven’t read the original Maze, and won’t; I’d rather rate this on it’s own merit. So far it is, indeed, a slow burn. The plucky MC is gaining confidence and skills. Grammar is OK; this is clearly a first draft.
I’ll be watching and will update this review later.
