- SoundSoulRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I've enjoyed the story so far and that's what keeps me coming back for more.
Thinking on it, I don't feel fit to review Marigold because I'm having a subtle lapse in memory, but I'm torn because I want more people to read it and leave reviews so let's get into it.
The light Novel 'Marigold' has potential, just like Hana, Marigolds MC, the Queen of the Hive or should I say Marigolds faulty egg Incubator minus the incubating part.
Character: 3.5 :Hana/ Mc is sort of a bleeding heart and maybe I'm holding that against her. There's more than meets the eye, I suppose. Marigold is a slice of life story, and I don't have enough 'slices' of Hana's life to completely map her out. Ha, my biggest gripe with the woman- Girl? Bee queen, is that she's out of her depth but the ability to completely get on top of the situation she finds herself in isn't beyond her in the slightest, especially with a small army of Sapient bees. She lacks the steady hand that's right beneath her nose. As for the other Characters including the Bee's, that's the two-day old bread and butter I keep coming back for... for now.
Story Score: 3.5: Interesante, entertaining for the most part, on the cusp of something... I'm not too sure with my current lapse in memory, that said, the world building is taking on a story of its own, that's good. Spoiler<<<< Death to the Gods!!!
Style:3.5: I can't say Marigold's bringing something new to the table, not yet at least, Storywise or writing related Marigold's foundation is lying on top of your average fantasy novel, the story just hasn't reached the depths to reveal the "Dragon bones" that happen to lye underneath the usual fantasy novel or Litrpg. I'm drawn to the familiarity.
Grammar: 4: I'm sure it's not the best, far from the worst. Saying this with half a brain and half a review, I'll comeback in edit someday lol
