Description
Out of seemingly nothing, a girl comes into existence in an odd world. It’s explained to her that she is the being known as the “Maou”, an entity that comes into existence when a “Yuusha” is summoned. The humans of this world think she intends to destroy them all and thus send the Yuusha to destroy her. Contrary to their belief however, the Maou has no intentions of destroying anyone. The Maou has one year to find a solution and save herself from destruction. Is this a story about a misunderstood hero, or is it about the rise of the darkest villain?Credit for the cover art goes to NightSerenity.

- kaidragosRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story that has and interesting twist as of chapter 40 while the story is slow allowing a better character and world build updates daily with a couple of chapters aday.
- GrargRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I've caught up to all of the chapters on the author's main site (74 chapters) so I'll review the entirety. The story is worth reading. As of now, there doesn't seem to much going for the underlying plot but the comedy and buildup is still pretty good. I cannot saw for sure whether or not Maou the Yuusha will be amazing or mediocre as the plot hasn't quite gotten there yet.
The style is very Japanese, similar to the Light Novels and Web Novels you find anywhere, although there is an undeniable Western spin. The grammar is almost impeccable, either because of the author's natural grasp or the editor's work.
Below will be my main criticisms of the story thus far (spoilers duh). It's for the author mainly and people who've read all 74 chapters so be warned:
Major Criticisms
1. The plot is a bit too straightforward. What I didn't like is how so far, almost everything kinda just falls into Maou's lap. Kiel's random recruitment (despite being a bandit, he turns out not to be an ass and is actually quite devoted), Kera's random reason for joining, the fact that Tea just randomly gives Maou a lot of good FREE stuff, etc. All I can say is that Maou is extraordinarily lucky and that kind of plot progression isn't natural or particularly interesting.
2. Some of the characters feel like caricatures instead of real people. It might just be a pet peeve but I hate such characterizations. The first example would be Tea, who is nice and naive to the point of absurdity. He feels like a nice and naive robot, who can only be nice and naive, instead of a real person. Second is the Yuusha, who is so far a 1-dimensional retard who refuses to listen to others. Will these characters eventually gain depth and become interesting? Maybe, but so far, it's just incredibly annoying.
3. I'm kinda concerned about Maou's skill screen and the casual way she acquires abilities (just use status enough times). It's kind of OP broken and does away with necessity of her actually needing to learn t - fanobodyRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The link where 120 chapters are: https://vaancruze.com/
A bit of Japan feel and funy story. Slow to the update but the quality is there. - BoredBeyondBeliefRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The mc is retarded, she literally let a bandit come with her after they tried to kill her.
Seriously?
