Magic, Re- Incarnate

Description
What would you do if you could be reborn into any universe, remade into anything?
What if the key to immortality, godly power, and self-perfection was harnessed for personal gain?
A cult has found the key…and they are using it for themselves. People are being stolen, their magic siphoned, twisted into fodder. The cult is growing, being reborn, remade—stronger. Spread across the multiverse, and growing.
Nobody else knows that it's happening at all.
Jacinta, a tired witch from an alternate NYC, has had very bad luck. Between unintentionally killing her grandmother; nearly getting caught by SEE, her world's supernatural police force; and accidentally being transported into another realm by a SEE agent's mistake; she's having a rough few days. When her sister is taken by the cult, she snaps. She demands answers. She tries to stop them. She goes after them.
Her mistake.
She has no choice but to follow them into the different realities, changing, growing stronger, and being reborn, all while trying to stay afloat in her own home world.
Along the way, she may lose herself...
Or find out who she is truly meant to be.

[(Light) LitRPG elements- urban fantasy, DnD inspired; involves portals and alternate realms/selves]
Disclaimer:this story is written in a lyrical style! It has elements of readers’ choice at the end of some chapters, so you help decide the story too. It’s a blend of multiple genres and worlds as well, hence some of the tags picked. It will start out with her in her own world, though; it is meant to be a slow-burn. Hope you enjoy :) (Portal/alternate dimension starts at Chap. 8, though the story goes between different worlds/returns home somewhat constantly later on.)
Updates 2-3 times weekly! Also has art and magical recipes posted every so often.

- AlexaLeeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I devoured this book in one session. The solid, engrossing story crossed with the poetic descriptions kept me clicking through the chapters.
Style: Honestly, this was perfect. The pacing was wonderful and varied. Never did it feel too fast or too slow, instead it fitted perfectly to the chapter and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from it. The description, as said above, is perfect. It’s poetic, vivid and paints a picture perfectly. It’s woven into the story perfectly so there isn’t chapters heavy on the exposition but instead, it works flawlessly. The occasional poetry was absolutely perfect
Story: Wonderful. A young adult tries to stay afloat in an AU version of New York but mixed with this is magic, mystery, LitRPG and Isekai. It’s the perfect blend of genres with surrealism grounded in reality.
Grammar: At first, the grammar was a little strange. In my opinion, it was slightly overused. There were too many colons and semicolons which were generally used correctly but it’s a little jarring to see that many in fiction writing. However, once I got used to it I realised that it actually helped the story flow and it stopped being a problem.
Characters: I absolutely adore Jacinta. Perfectly realistic and her relationship with her sister, Olivia, is so real and wholesome. Jacinta’s friend Gregory is maybe my favourite character so far just for his sense of humour. I found myself genuinely chuckling out loud on more than one occasion.
World building: Absolutely stunning, I truly think this is the perfect blend of magic in a realistic/non magic world. The magical elements are weaved in so perfectly that you find yourself not even questioning the existence of angels, Cyclopses or sirens.
This book is light enough on LitRPG elements that the inclusion of this shouldn’t be off putting for those who aren’t a fan of the genre. It is done fairly organically, to compliment the story rather than create it.
Similarly, the Isekai element is very well done. It comes about in a very nat - Sage Of MemoryRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Not quite a five star rating yet. Closer to a three point five. It is, however, very good and I'm confident that it'll continue to grow and get better. Giving this a five and a worded review so the algorithm'll pick it up and so more folks can see it.
- ANCTRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is the story of a New York Witch with a whole lot of bad luck. The prologue gives informs of the horrors going on and we get some hints that Jacinta is going to quickly get wrapped into some dimension hopping shenanigans.
Style: The author has a strong sense of style and writes quite well. I'm impress with their control over the structure of the prose to imbue the sensation of the moment to the reader. The broken phrases and random sentences used to give an impression of dimensional travel are particularly good
Grammar: Sentence structure is quite good and varying for the comfort of the reader. There are some spelling errors and wrong words, but overall solid writing.
Story: The plot is good, but suffers from some aspect. It is clear the author has a strong vision of where the story is heading. There is, however, a need for some worldbuilding to support the flow of the story. One being the SEE and their relations with magic folk. We aren't given any idea how serious nor the normal behavior of those interactions. There needs to be some details filled in for smoother storytelling. By the set up of the prologue and summary, it almost feels like the story started too soon. The last thing is, at the moment it feels like the LitRPG aspect is harming the story and maybe it would be better to remove it all together.
Character: Overall, the characters have been pretty likable and look forward to learning more about them. An issues arises where there are moments where characters make decisions that make no sense. They make sense if we knew more about the characters, but there has been very little background given.
In conclusion, this author has got some respectable skill and has an interesting story on their hands. I can't wait to see what worlds we see and how our witch grows in power. - PloopieRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really enjoying this serial so far. It has loose litRPG elements into it - some of which feel currently out of place (but I expect we'll know sooner). I really like the integration of fantasy into a modern environment, although I feel like it would be better to have a little more worldbuilding before diving straight into the story - it talks about different worlds, parallel dimensions, but never really say how it affects the modern Earth. Also, another gripe I have with the story is, I'm pretty sure the world wasn't originally a fantasy one, but it never says how the different creatures started to inhabit Earth (It only touches upon the history once).
Apart from that - and the author's quirky writing style that leaves out most connectives (which actually doesn't affect the story much or reading experience), I enjoy the way it's written, the pacing, and the characterization. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to any fantasy readers.
