Description

Metello had grown up in an orphanage in the city of Ironholes, spending most of his time in a modest library drawing and reading heroes' stories. Both the need to look for his remaining family and the hate he received for being presumed touched by Nox led him to choose a traveling monster hunter career with the [Lux Acolyte] class as his coming-of-age came closer. To leave the hateful city for good and walk the plains of the Everlightened Lands, he would need help from his comrades and powers from the god he chose to follow: Lux, goddess of light, beauty, art, and battle against the undead. When a threat weighs on the future of all human kingdoms, it is not too much.

A classic LitRPG progression fantasy story in an original world where the sun always shines.

I hope you'll enjoy it. Feel free to comment.

This story doesn't focus on that aspect too heavily but it certainly does it enough to interest me. That poem bit in one of the earlier chapters was great introduction to the world. More of that, please.
Sentences can be a bit peculiar at times though. Not at the level where it's unreadable but the sentence-structure certainly leaves something to be desired. Should be easily fixed. 4.5/5 for now

It's a slow paced, plot driven book full of original worldbuilding. I would definitely encourage everyone to give it a try.
There are definitely some areas in which the author could improve. The style could use some work - there are some strange wording choices and the author is rather straight forward in his delivery. Additionally, some small grammatical errors can infrequently make appearance... but those things will improve with time and experience.
What, for me, is this story biggest flaw is the introductory arc.
When we meet him the MC is a teenager that will soon reach the adulthood. Since there's no reincarnation shenanigans going on, he lived in that world for 15 years. Then how the hell is he so clueless?! MC's a widely disliked orphan living in a rough neighborhood - these are NOT the circumstances that produce naive children (even if he's shunned by society he should know SOMETHING - even if other children just wanted to lord their superior knowledge over him). What's even more surprising, his guardian seems to be determinated to keep him sheltered. By some miracle he doesn't even know what coming of age ceremony is, despite living in an orphanage where (presumably) at least one child comes of age every freaking year. Hell, he doesn't even know a whole lot about gods despite his guardian being a PRIEST. His knowledge about the world is so miniscule that I would assume he was being deliberately kept in dark if it wasn't for the obvious "good person" vibes coming from MC's guardian. What I believe is even more tragic, is that we have a perfect medium through which we could get all of those pesky but necessary worldbuilding information (without making MC a halfwit) - a young child that MC befriends and teaches all he knows about The System and Skills necessary for gaining a good Class. I think that the author could definitely improve this story by spending a little time thinking about how to introduce his fantastic worldbuilding in a way that makes in-story

I am really surprised that I have not before read about the arduous task of learning how to get a [Priest] class. This was handled great in these first 10 chapters, and even if the story ended with the protagonist becoming the Acolyte, it would have been worthwhile.
So, I am generally pretty critical with stories, and my ranking goes from decent and enjoyable stories (2 stars) over good and great stories up to the best stories I can imagine (5 stars, and only for finished stories). So, 4 stars is "I think it's great", and now I need to tell you why.
The style is pretty bland fantasy, telling the life of the orphan MC as a child. We get a nice mixture of dialogue and action, but mostly (small-sized) infodumps. For more than meager three stars, the infdumps should have been narrated BY the adult protagonist, not to him. Besides that it felt like any average well-written novel.
The story is very promising, with good world-building, an overarching threat to humanity far away and "small"-ish villains right the next corner, in the shape of a influential merchant who isn't evil however. The magical system is strongly relying on gods as magical patrons, and well-balanced.
Grammar is pretty fine for a non-native writer, but I found a very many strangely built sentences - enough to deduct a point there as well. Author is really trying to hit literary English, but many swings are misses while some other sentences come across as bland.
The character score I dedicate to the MC, although the support characters are nothing to sneeze at. We learn the protagonists likes, dislikes, weaknesses, motivation, and he turns out to be very relatable. If you want to meet Metello yourself, go start reading...

I enjoy the story quite a bit so far. If it were edited a bit, it would definitely enter my favorites.
The one issue I have to raise is probably not an easy one to fix on the author's part. The author has no issues with spelling, but the word choice and phrasing is consistently strange, as if translated from another language. I'd highly recommend the author find a native speaker to just read through and give recommendations on how to rephrase things more naturally.
This isn't too say this is a major problem. I have no difficulties comprehending what's being said, but as an example, "to quit the city" is used many times, which I've never actually heard a human say. It's quite clear that the author intends to say either "to abandon the city" or "leave forever" or some synonym of these, maybe "ditch the city."

This story is interesting, but has massive issues.
It is about an orphan with an unknown past, who seems to be very isolated from his peers (which is a good element, because it allows the author to do a lot of exposition and info dumping in a way that makes sense in story), who know becomes a Lux Acolyte. Which means that he goes out and hunts monsters in addition to a few other things.
First, the good things: the story is interesting, and the world seems living, if sometimes simplistic.
The grammar is excellent as well, which is always a good thing. Many things are in the eye of the beholder, but bad grammar is generally annoying for everyone.
Now to the characters. Well, they are one dimensional, which really hurts the story, considering that it seems to be slice of life. Which means it's character driven. There are some signs of improvement, but they then disappear quickly.
All in all, a relatively boring, if fascinating read. I found the concept interesting, but we don't see that much about how the eternal day/ eternal night affects things (besides the fact that live should only be possible in the zone where there is eternal Twilight, but it's a fantasy story, so who cares), even though that seems like it would be a big deal.
